This placed was recommended to me by multiple people in the recovery community down here in South Florida and was most definitely the best decision I've made in a very long time. First Step doesn’t compare to other treatment centers. It’s in its own league. The staff really make it there mission to help each and every person that walks through the doors. Very unique treatment plans that are customized to each person seeking help. It’s a different approach from your traditional treatment that allows each and every client to understand what addiction truly is and the steps it takes to create and maintain a new life style. If your seeking help for yourself or a loved one, don’t hesitate. This place cares when you can’t.

This facility is one of many I’ve been to over the years. Most places look at you as a dollar sign but with this place that’s not the case at all. They care about each and every individual in this program. They help you even on your worst day when you don’t want the help. Between the clinical staff and the 1st step community as a whole my entire life has changed for the better. After years in recovery working a program, I fell off the path of recovery after 7 years and quickly destroyed my life in a few month and really didn’t see away out. 1st step has helped me tremendously to mend important relationships in my life and has given me the tools, the knowledge and faith to live a successful prosperous life as long and I stay on the right path. First time I have ever seen a founder/ owner facilitating groups and trying to help everyone. After 30 years of life, life makes sense now. I’m forever grateful for 1st step and their amazing program. Love yous! GO BIRDS!!!

When I came to first step I was unsure about even wanting to be sober. However the team of clinicians, techs, case managers, and speakers they bring in for meetings really did a good job of making me see how life would look if I get sober. They were all really supportive, actually cared about all the clients from their hearts, and are in this not as a job, but honestly because they care. This is the first treatment I have attended, and I whole heartedly believe it will be my last, because I now have a solid recovery family, a strong plan of recovery, and the continued support of first step. I've been to many places trying to get clean and this is hands down one of the best and most caring treatment centers in the country. The owner is involved in groups, the staff is emotional with the clients. The community of people/alumni involved in after care and long term recovery is huge. Great halfway living system. I've never seen anything like it and I do my best to refer everyone who needs help to this place because I trust them with even the most suffering addicts and alcoholics because they know what to do. So many people stay clean for years leaving this place it's something unheard of. They are all about the overall success of clients not all about the money.
