A Safe and Sober Living Environment
for Men and Women
Our Mission is to impact lives in ways that will restore hope to the people and bring lasting change to the community. Affordable Recovery Housing empowers people to rise above their circumstances, get involved and take initiative in their own healing process.
Our Vision is to help individuals reach their full potential by the power and Grace of God and the resident's active role in recovery with guidance, discipline and direction.
Our facility located in Blue Island is the old Mother of Sorrows Catholic High School. It sits on 6.7 acres of land with 120,000 square feet of classrooms and housing. Clients are in a 2 -12 men rooms with access to a movie theatre, arcade/game room, weight room, pool table room, and a full size gymnasium. Our cafeteria is opened for a hot breakfast and dinner. The residents are provided a bagged lunch on a daily basis to take to work or appointments.
In 2017 we obtained 1 additional facility located in Park Forest. Combined occupancy is 480 beds. Statistics show that we currently have wiped out individual homelessness in 40 Cook County South Suburbs. This location is licenced by the State of Illinois, Department of Human Services and Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse.
All 3 locations has access to a Chapel and Full Court Gymnasium.
CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION: A strong desire to remain abstinent from alcohol and drugs. A commitment to attend all required meetings, groups and complete assignments as designated by staff
