We offer the rapid antigen and molecular COVID tests as well as send out PCR tests. Rapid tests are CDC approved for travel. Please call prior to arrival and we will be happy to serve you.

Our practice

At Allegany Family Health our mission is to provide compassionate, patient centered, quality primary care to Allegany, Mineral, and surrounding counties. Our providers see patients ages 5 and up, and are trained in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic and acute illnesses while promoting overall health and wellness. Whether you are sick, need an annual physical, or more complex care, we will provide the best possible care for you and your family. We have an onsite lab for the convenience of our patients and do our best to accommodate same day/walk in appointments for acute visits whenever possible.

Serving Westernport, Cumberland, and Frostburg, Maryland along with Keyser, West Virginia and surrounding areas.

We are pleased to provide the following services:

Preventative Care:

We focus on maintaining wellness and stopping health problems before they occur by doing well exams and ordering preventative screenings and labs. A variety of women’s health services are provided including contraception, pap smears, and ordering mammograms.

Medical Management of Chronic Diseases:

Chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, COPD, and many more, are managed through an individualized, patient centered approach.

Physicals:

We offer appointments for physicals ranging from employment, school, pre-op, sports, DOT/CDL and more.

Mental Health Treatment:

We are experienced in the treatment of a variety of common mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression. Treatment is offered through medication management.

Addiction Medicine

We offer medication assisted therapy for individuals struggling with opioid addiction who are motivated to work towards recovery.

Smoking Cessation

Quitting smoking is likely the single most important thing you can do for your health; we can help with the use of nicotine replacement therapy and/or medication.

Hepatitis C treatment:

Both of our nurse practitioners are certified HCV providers through the Johns Hopkins Share the Cure program and are qualified to diagnose, treat, and cure hepatitis C.

Medical Cannabis Certification:

We certify patients with approved conditions to use medical cannabis.
