An honorary ceremony by DreamFlights: Operation September for World War II Veterans Harry Barton and George Meehan at the Beverly Airport in Beverly. The event is organized by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the Alliance Health Management Services. For the second year in a row, Alliance Health at Rosewood is honored to be recognized by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) for its commitment to improving the lives of residents through quality care. Regina Malima has been a Licensed Practical Nurse at Alliance Health at Rosewood since 2005. She primarily works evenings, 3-11 or 11-7, and often takes on double shifts. Regina received a unanimous nomination from all department heads and unit managers at Rosewood for the Corridan Compassion Award this year. Simply put, Regina is a very special person, and her community of residents and employees are extremely fortunate to have her. She is truly deserving of the Corridan Compassion Award. Stephanie Morrow has been a Speech Language Pathologist at Alliance Health at Rosewood since 2014. She is an incredibly knowledgeable clinician but is also dedicated to making Rosewood a wonderful place of continuing education and compassionate care. Stephanie is a rare mix of high intelligence and kindness. She has truly earned this prestigious award. Carmella Verdiglione has been a unit secretary at Alliance Health at Rosewood since 2015. She primarily works on the sub-acute (2nd floor) unit but will readily work anywhere in the building where she feels help is needed. In summary, Carmella makes Rosewood a better place for her co-workers, the residents, and their families. Her performance embodies what the Corridan Compassion Award symbolizes. Great experience. Because of the chronic nature of my illness I’ve been in numerous nursing homes and this is by far the best. Alliance at West Acres is beautifully renovated, the staff are quick to respond, and the rehab team is the best I’ve seen.

My husband was at Rosewood for rehab after hospitalization in July 2021 and also just recently. I requested he be sent to Rosewood for this most recent rehab. Both times he was treated with kindness and compassion. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the CNAs, nurses and therapists that attended to him. He also enjoyed the food!

Over the past year I feel as though Rosewood has taken a turn for the worst. Not having enough staff has left our loved ones to be left unattended for longer then usual times. It’s not fair that my mother has to sit there for an extra 30+ minutes just to be brought to the bathroom. A big change needs to happen not only with the staff but with the building as a whole. Save yourself the trouble and send your family members somewhere where patients are looked at as number 1 priority.

Although Rosewood looks beautiful when you walk through those doors, I can say from first hand experience that Rosewood offers nothing but abhorrent care for your loved ones and couldn’t possibly care less about the geriatric populations well-being. While visiting I’ve first hand watched CNAs wipe patients clean then proceed to touch other things without changing their gloves or washing their hands. Not only that but I’ve seen both CNAs and Nurses yell at patients who are clearly not aware of what’s going on, on multiple occasions. I believe that Rosewood has potential and the employees could do better, clearly they need a reevaluation and better leadership, until then I highly suggest you take your loved ones elsewhere for the sake of their health and well being.

That’s place was really good to my grandmother. My grandmother was in Rosewood for rehab in 2018 and they where so good to her and my family every time we visited. We got my grandmother into long term care there this past August and unfortunately she was in a previous rehab in Wakefield that did her more harm then good. I totally understand we are in a pandemic but her care in the Wakefield center was piss poor. I was so glad when we got her into long term care at Rose wood. My grandmother passed away last month at Rosewood, But the staff was so good to her and took good care of her. We all ( including my family) thought she was going to pull through get batter and we also thought Rose Wood would help pro long her life. Sadly to say my grandmother stopped eating and taking her medication. We all tried so hard even the staff and medical staff at Rose Wood tried, but she just did not wont to be around anymore especially during this pandemic, she went out on her own terms. Anyhow All the staff at Rose Wood where so good in helping my family and me in her care and services. They are awesome and we couldn’t thank them enough for the care they gave Laura and my family and myself. They truly are hero’s even in this tough time we are living in.
