About Appleton Comprehensive Treatment Center in Appleton, WI

Appleton Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Appleton, Wisconsin, offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to adults of all genders who are struggling with opioid use disorder, the clinical term for opioid addiction.

You may expect a methadone clinic to offer only one type of medication. At Appleton Comprehensive Treatment Center, we give our patients several options, including buprenorphine, methadone, Suboxone, and naltrexone. We also provide individual and group therapies to help our patients address the underlying causes behind their opioid use.

Because medications such as methadone can affect every person differently, our expert team works with each patient every step of the way so that we can adjust their care as needed. We understand that recovery is an individual process and collaborate with patients to ensure they receive the best treatment for their needs.

Supportive & Encouraging Treatment for Opioid Addiction in Appleton, WI

Making the decision to get help for an addiction to heroin, prescription painkillers, or other opioid takes courage. At Appleton CTC, we have created a supportive and encouraging environment that truly honors our patients’ recovery experiences.

Most methadone clinics offer medication and little structure outside of that, but the services at our opioid addiction treatment center also include a therapeutic component. Group therapy gives our patients the opportunity to connect with others who are struggling with opioid use disorder, while the one-on-one experience of individual counseling provides the chance to address topics a patient may not have felt comfortable bringing up in group sessions.

Patients who take part in MAT are much more likely to experience successful, long-term recovery. Our compassionate team of professionals is highly experienced in developing a customized plan of care, and we make sure each patient feels empowered throughout the whole treatment process.

If you can go to any other place for treatment I 100% recommend it. This clinic does a HORRIBLE job rehabilitating patients and instead pushes Suboxone and methadone down their throats even when patients have clearly stated that’s not what they are there for or want. Scheduling an appointment is impossible. My boyfriend goes there for the Vivatrol shot and we have been calling for 2 WEEKS now with no calls back on when his next appointment is. He is now over due for the shot and we are still receiving the run around. Absolutely unacceptable behavior.

If you’re looking for an outpatient AODA program, please look into others before deciding on this one. And although there are some good things about the MAT program offered at this facility, there are many, many more downfalls. Their solution to everything is to yank your phases away. I’ve been sober for almost 5 years and throughout the last few months, while the pandemic ensued, I was told I had a failed UA. I haven’t used in almost 5 years, & yet all of my phases were taken & had to start at square one by coming every day again. It’s an awful feeling knowing that you’re in the right & maintaining sobriety while still being treated as if I’m actively using. Such a shame that they hear, but never listen.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Seriously there's a few doctors in the area who can prescribe Suboxone and methadone who are much more qualified then these people. Don't give even a single dollar to this place!

Could be a good and helpful experience or a terrible and difficult experience based on who us assigned to you. If they mess something up and you call then out on it, expect to be treated like garbage and screwed around constantly until you decide to stop coming back. A person shouldn't have to choose between a job and place to live and coming there. They have zero cares about what you have to do, be it court, picking up your children or going to work. It's almost as if they expect you to keep your entire day open from 6am-noon in case they feel like keeping you there for three hours. Do research on clinics before you choose one so as not to worse your problem.
