Best clinic ever. People are nice & treat you like a normal person. Other than occasionally going to the Apt foundation on Long Wharf Drive the Apt foundation in North Haven is the only clinic I've been to but talking to other people & hearing the horror stories of the experiences they have had the Apt foundation in North Haven is the best friendliest clinic ever. It is such a great place I take the bus & add an extra hour each way because this clinic is farther than others & it is so worth adding 2 hours of travel time to my day because of how nice & helpful the people @ the North Haven Apt foundation are. If you are going to start going to a clinic or thinking of changing clinics the North Haven Apt foundation is the best 1 to go to.

I was transferred here soon after this location opened. Although I've been through a few counselors, there are certainly my favorites. The staff that has been there for years are a mixed bag. Some of the medicating nurses can have a rough exterior but once you get to know them they are wonderful. The only bad I can say is that there are a few of the check in staff that can be very harsh no matter how polite you are to them. There are also 2 or 3 counselors that I've overheard talking negatively about patients and once it was about me and they weren't aware of who I was and I was standing right there hearing the rude things being said about ME! The other thing is the hours. The days have been cut by a few hours over the few years I've been there giving less and less time to get there and do the things that are required. Transportation is an issue for a lot of us and this adds stress. Unlike some of their other locations, they don't have any evening groups which for me (when I was working) was essential. Having to get my kids off to school and get ready for work, doing morning groups were impossible. Having a few evening groups saved me. I'm no longer working so it's no longer an issue for me. However, I'm sure there are others that would love to have this making work, family, and recovery easier rather than adding more stress which could lead to relapse when there is very little accomodations for people who are working or have no transportation and rely on someone else who might only be able to help after they're done working.

Some staff is the only reason it gets A star. Dawn,Coco, Nae, both Nates, are whom helps keep that place together! Mayyyybe ONE other nurse, Nancy because everyone already knows nurse Kris -shes a sweetheart ❤ Granted the director tries her best, she's great too but on the other hand, too many people employeed just for the pay, don't five a darn about your situation, and THOSE are the ones im SUREEEE the HIPPA topic has been open and spread all around. SMH.

I have been with the apt for about 10 years. They have been a life saver. Most everyone there has been very helpful. I would recomend them for anyone who wants to get cleaned up in a second. Thank you for all you do. 😁
