Arc Manor is one of the best rehabs around in my opinion. They really care about people They have gone and and beyond for me through the years. Actually I believe that they have saved my life.

My experience at ARC Manor was a solid 6 months. Recovery is what you make of it and I made the most of it with all the tools they offered. I attended every group except when missing was for a doctor or for court out of state. If you do decide to attend services here just know that they will not have your best interests in mind when it comes to any open legal cases. They will make it very easy for your probation or parole officer to violate you and will help that process by divulging information they are not obligated to hand over to the legal system. They will also do this backhandedly with no communication to you as their client. My counselor turned over, to my out of state probation officer, that I was ''kicked out" of ARC services due to non-compliance. This is an automatic violation of terms of my probation in Virginia. I will potentially spend 180 days in one of the worst facilities in America due to the report. I have done everything asked of me and have passed every drug and alcohol test I've been given over that 6 month period; I was given one at least once per week. The reality of my departure was that I felt Arc Manor was no longer helping me along in my recovery so I chose to change to another facility. I was in my new program the day after leaving ARC Manor. They were well aware that I was in new services and still took it upon themselves to report directly to my probation officer that I was "kicked out" of the program with no prior communication to me. Although, overall the program itself was at par, I am displeased in the handling of my departure from services there. If I was aware they were going to report to my probation officer, I would have been willing to communicate openly about my intentions of leaving and hopefully worked out a "successful release" from Arc Manor. I was given no such chance. Stay out of the system but if you're already in it, be very careful about signing any releases of information for your probation officer, or anyone for that matter! Arc Manor will help violate your probation even when your case is in another state.

It has bee discovered that ARC Manor is acting in an unethical and fraudulent manner regarding their treatment of at least some individuals just to receive their money. I was required as a result of a DUI arrest (which was totaling my fault and very dumb) that I had to go for an assessment/evaluation. From the assessment I was told that she was recommending no additional treatment, because of obviously had no dependency issues. However, a week later I received a letter that I had to go through 12 hours of additional offenders meetings. This was from the Kittanning office that had never met me or had any additional information on me but the supervisor obviously wanted my money! At $95 an hour we are looking at around $1,400 with the additional meetings that had added in also, now this is pretty apparent that they are only after the money, especially when I was told no additional treatment was necessary. That my friends is unethical and fraudulent on their part, and is actionable by law!
