@Brianc tec don't be that person. First don't lie, it's not the patients who are loud. It's not even loud out there, but if it is, don't forget that it's literally in a city, next to a school/YMCA. Who's more likely to make a lot of noise? A bunch of parents trying to drop their kids off & goto to work? Or a bunch of people rehabiliating themselves, working on themselves everyday, and taking a medication which is a downer? But my real review is for this place. The nurses have a high turn over rate while I was there (2015-2017). The best nurses were fired. I don't mean "easy nurses" I mean nurses who cared about patients. Nurses who were there for years. Second, if you go there with alcohol in your system, then you'll forever be tested with an ETG test. It's a test which picks up alcohol for 5 days. If you go in there without alcohol in your system during your intake urine, then they won't randomly test you with an ETG test. ETG test are not recommended by SAMHSA to be used to take away privileges because these tests are sooo sensitive. If you walk through a Macys and breath in the perfume thats sprayed in the air, and it has alcohol in it, YOU WILL FAIL THIS TEST. All your take homes will be gone. Any vacation plans you had? Nope done, you're not going! If you travel a lot for work I would not use this clinic. I had to travel a lot and the clinic was constantly trying to "catch" me. Giving me more than 1 urine a month just because I needed to travel out of state that month. I once asked the doctor, and you guys know who I mean, he does not need an introduction, if I could get the rules of the clinic, so I wouldn't break any. He told me that would be impossible because there's too many (AKA they make them up as they do along and call them "Federal Guidelines"). They have a financial interest in you not getting off methadone. This is not a non-profit. Make no mistake, this is a for-profit business. The longer you're there, the more money they make. This is a private program, with a director, and probably a board, who are all there to make money. Your health is secondary...if you're lucky. You're doing really well with a counselor and starting to decrease your dose? Guess what? Now you have a new counselor. And he/she is 23 years old and barely knows what "codependent" means. Yep, you're on your own again. And they will switch your counselor without warning because they have to "fill the spots" so he/she has patients. But they only give them "good" patients. Instead of patients who don't care about their recovery, they give them patients who are "easy" yet, switching a patient, from a counselor they have a close relationship with, might completely derail their recovery. Esp. when the new counselor has no idea what they're talking about, no confidence, and not trained. One time, I was going away to another country for a wedding. The doctor decided to leave town too. I was about 8 hours away from missing my brother's wedding because they doctor went on vacation, without assigning a temp, which meant no one could get anything signed. Meaning I could not leave the country, but I had submitted my paperwork 45 days in advance. Another time, I was taking a diet pill prescribed by my doctor for the weight gain caused by methadone. OMG don't get me started on that but the clinic, made it their business, even though it was NOT an amphetamine, or scheduled as one, but if you were unlucky, and got a nurse who didn't understand the rules, she would count my pills. Most nurses wouldn't But one would. IF the count was wrong (like I had too many or even one less), my take homes were gone. Remember, this is my diet, not theirs. I decided to be proactive so I didn't get diabetes and now I'm being penalized? This was such harmless medication. Anyway, I just stopped getting prescribed. It was too much for me. Between the nurses counting the pills or not counting them,I couldn't take the stress. Getting diabetes was the better option for my stress levels--which luckily I didn't get, but they don't know that. I could have.
