Aspen Trace is an awesome place to work. They ensure that the residents receive the highest quality of care possible. Staff work together as a team and it is a tight knit family environment. The residents have so much to teach us as we learn about their past and we get to know their family as well. I can’t say enough about how much Aspen truly cares about putting smiles on the residents faces everyday ! Always a pleasure to come to work!!!

I don’t even like leaving one star but it makes you touch one unfortunately. This 5 star Facility is a huge joke and extremely understaffed. Worse facility I have ever come across. My Aunt came to the rehab department the end of Nov of 2021. The day I dropped her off a rehab nurse came out to my car to get her. The lady was very unfriendly and so was the front desk lady. I had to leave and get back to work so I left. My aunts phone had died and I couldn’t get a hold of her to check on her. 5 hrs later she called to tell me that she had sat in her wheelchair for 4 hrs after just having hip surgery. The staff said oops we didn’t know you was here. My aunt has pancreatic issues and has a special diet that she told the nurses and dietary about numerous times. They never listened to her and kept sending her food she couldn’t have. I brought her in groceries to supplement because of the small portions and foods she couldn’t eat. Her food was always ice cold and the room smelled like tuna. We finally realized it was the mop that smelled so bad housekeeping never changed it. The trash was over flowing with trash and room was messy each time I visited which was 4x week at least. Her pump to suction her hip infection out , broke several times and they wouldn’t replace it in a decent amount of time causing the infection to get worse. She constantly ran out of her meds and would go days without it. I contacted the floor unit manager and dietary manager but nothing was ever resolved. I just kept bringing her groceries to her so she wasn’t starved. Her call light would go off for over 30min and her pic line was hanging out her arm, I had to go find somebody and tape it myself because they never returned to do it themselves. They have 1 ply toilet paper and I had to buy her toilet paper because she had blisters from wiping. I went to find a nurse one day because I needed let out the facility. The girl was ignoring the call light eating Cheetos dressed in pajamas pants and a hoodie. Two other girls were also dressed like that. How unprofessional the residents deserve to know who’s coming in and out there room. My aunt has been sick all of December complaining and hasn’t recieved any medical care from a doctor and today she was vomiting, diarrhea, extremely dehydrated, crying in severe pancreatic pain from all the wrong foods they have served her. I took her to the hospital and JMH has admitted her. She has extremely high creatine kidney levels, pancreatic attack, severe dehydration all because of the lack of care that she has received in the 6weeks she has been at Aspen Trace. Do not take your loved ones here this place is a joke. She was in better health when she arrived then she is now. Explanation: I’m livid and disgusted with this place

Aspen Trace is a beautiful, well cared for facility! I have had nothing but positive interactions with the hard-working and caring staff at Aspen. They genuinely care about the residents and I witness this on a daily basis, from upper management all the way down! Wonderful place and even better people!
