I have never felt more comfortable in a place. John and lisa have been my counselor and they are both phenomenal!! I had relapsed and they never gave up on me and called me bc they truly cared about my well being. And when I reached my rock bottom I had called them and they were able to help me get into a rehab that was suited for me. After 26 days in rehab I had returned to Austin addiction for IOP with lisa.and I have learned more about myself and have found my true identity.

The Counselor took the time to get to know my daughter. We never felt like a number. They really care about their work and helping people! Even months after my daughter completed her program...they still responded to a request from us within the hour! Super impressed with the level of personalization and care!!

My 16 y/o son was referred to drug treatment and had multiple behavioral issues in school as well as home. He was referred by the health dept per school policy, He was seen for several months and was "drug tested" however he was doing drugs that weren't showing up on the test. His behavior and mental affect was getting worse. Since he is over 14, they "didn't have to share" his progress with me although he signed a consent for permission to do so. He was discharged several months later although he was exhibiting odd behaviors, violent tendencies as well as still using. When I called and spoke with the counselor, she said, "He said he was doing fine" ...."He said".....They never called in family to discuss progress or get another perspective of his affect or behavior. He is now having more issues than ever and refuses to get help because, as he says, "I got help and they said I was fine & they discharged me". I am so worried about him. They had an opportunity and obligation to treat and help him but failed.

I agree this place is a joke since Rick left. As a prominent business professional within Frederick, I have noticed family member experiencing major communication problems from within this organization, as well as accuracy of information reported. Would seriously reconsider treatment at Austin’s clinic and seek services elsewhere, and to make extra efforts to ensure therapist-patient confidentiality is private and accurate.
