So, this review has been coming for a few months as I wanted to be sure the program stuck. I finished my 30 day program 7 months ago. The stay at Avenues couldn't have been easier or better for me. I was able to reflect and completely disengage from the outside world that I had helped allow me to destroy my life up until that point. My stay, my conversations, my writings, my first-hand listening to others' life stories, and my counselling sessions all helped me to clearly decide and transition into the sober person I am today. A little advice from me is to really engage with the nursing staff, your counselors and definitely your Nurse Practitioner. Let them know how you feel day-to-day. Let them know how the medication is making you feel both mentally and physically. I think it's very important you get to know yourself while you are in this program. Otherwise, you may end up on the same road as when you first came to Avenues. It works if you want it to, it works if you let it. Good luck to anyone who actually reads these reviews and chooses recovery, no matter where or how you decide to do it.

When I walked into Avenues Recovery Center, I was desperate, angry, fearful, and full of anxiety. By the end of my stay, I was able to identify my true self and begin to make the changes needed for a better way of life. The staff ( most of whom are in recovery themselves) were amazing. They made me feel supported and safe. The doctors worked closely with me to make sure I was always comfortable. Counselors were incredible. I was able to focus on myself and receive counseling that I desperately needed. They were very insightful and helped me begin to understand some of the root issues that were causing me to stay sick . After 45 days I walked out with a new perspective on life and a community of people that care ! Avenues Treatment Center provides an after-care group called “ ALUMNI”. This fellowship of people is vital in helping me stay sober after leaving the treatment center. To me this has been most effective in my after-care plan. My experience at avenues was awesome. They taught me so much. My counselor was the best in the world. They took me out this dark place I was in and brought me back to reality. They put my needs first. I never thought I could live a sober life. With the help of a Avenues I found my higher power. I love this place and all they people in it. I highly recommend this facility.

Avenues welcomed me with open and friendly smiles.. The staff is always willing to help at anytime for anything... The love that is showed to one another and the understanding of each other is unbelievable true... The meaning of loving me till I can love myself at my lowest.... Avenues was an absolutely amazing facility and I feel I was blessed to have had the chance to start my journey to sobriety there. They were so welcoming and made sure they gave you all the tools needed to have and maintain long-term success. Everything from gaining medical, mental and physical health to meetings, sponsors and personal growth are at your disposal. They were extremely personalble and made you feel like you belonged there and we're meant to be there.
