Theresa Miga5 StarHaving visited many many facilities where I live in Northwest Indiana I was very pleased to see the cleanliness and odor free facility where our loved one is living. Everyone there was very friendly. Circumstances prevent us from being there often so it was wonderful to see him content and well cared for.Thursday 10th February 2022
Shawn Raisor5 StarWe have been very happy with the care my father in law has received at Avon health and rehab. He was not in very good shape health wise when he came into the facility. We made a good choice by selecting Avon health and rehab as our father in laws new home almost 2 years ago and because of the care he receives there, we believe he is still alive. Thank you for loving him like you do! The facility is clean and the rooms are newly remodeled. Very nice!!!Tuesday 26th October 2021
Peggy Wrightsman5 StarFacility was very calm, and peaceful, and everyone was busy doing their jobs. Ladies up front as ALWAYS very polite and nice, ALWAYS pleasant to visit with them. Merry Christmas to all! 🎄💕❤Friday 10th December 2021

David Houchens3 StarThis place is far greater than where my grandmother was previously. The building is always clean and orderly. The staff usually smile and are polite but you can tell with some of them they’re overworked or not into the job anymore. The only issue we’ve had so far, other than food issues, is they’re nice until you bring a problem to them they don’t seem to want to deal with unless it’s on their terms. Items missing in rooms from residents doesn’t seem to be a big concern as “the home will reimburse whatever has gone missing.” Unfortunately, I feel some workers and “managers” forget these individuals are OUR family and not just some patient but a real human. Not everything can simply be replaced!!! A simple plant can mean a lot to a resident that has lost everything in their life especially when it’s from their sister that had just died… For it to be tossed around broken because of Covid where they have to play musical beds sucks, but personal property should be treated as if it were their own! Not tossed to the floor, literally. When you have a voice for those that can’t be a voice on their own, the staff should listen. But instead they’d rather try and act like you’re to blame for being the voice and find the issue irrelevant or simply seem to not care and it’s somebody else’s problem later to handle. I sure wish I could pick the days at my job with what I want to try and avoid other than doing the right thing and actually choosing the right thing for the resident and addressing their problem to find their items before it’s too late. Obviously this is unacceptable by any means for what’s to be a professional team facility. For this day and age the place does a pretty decent job but the staff needs to remember these are real people and we can see through their BS and victim playing. DO BETTER.Monday 3rd January 2022
