B.E.S.T. Inc. is an intensive substance and alcohol abuse outpatient counseling program located in Stroudsburg, and Milford, Pennsylvania. We are a 501(c)(3) organization offering addiction and dual diagnosis services to patients throughout the area.

At B.E.S.T. Inc., our mission is to provide quality care in response to the unique needs of individuals and families who have been affected by substance abuse. We work to eradicate the stigma about addiction through education and advocacy. B.E.S.T. Inc. provides a compassionate and caring environment that allows people who are suffering from the disease of addiction to obtain the best quality of care.

Counseling Process

Our counseling process addresses many things, including the dynamics and medical aspects of addiction. It also addresses the importance of abstinence and minimizing risky behavior, as well as eating properly and being active. Counseling also seeks to improve assertiveness and communication skills, which help with relationships and conflicts with family and friends. It improves relapse management skills and helps patients develop external sources of support, all to aid in the process of recovery and staying sober.

We also offer medication assisted counseling with Vivitrol, Suboxone, Psychiatry and Neurology

Patient Responsibilities

As a patient of ours, you must follow the rules and guidelines we set forth. These include providing honest and accurate information about your health, all substance abuse, and addictive behaviors. You will be asked to provide proof of all prescribed medications. In addition, you must comply with a treatment plan and report any difficulty with abstinence from alcohol or drug use and be willing to make changes in order to address such difficulties. This could include being referred to another level of care, including detox/rehab, in-patient residential counseling, or hospitalization. Other responsibilities include providing necessary information to a financial counselor and paying any out-of-pocket costs, as well as respecting the confidentiality of all patients.
