Where are you located?
We have Residential Programs in two locations. One is located at 1000 NW 15th St, Boca Raton, FL 33486 this location is off of Glades Road, right across from the Florida Atlantic University Entrance. Our other Residential Program is located at Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches located at 7859 Lake Worth Road in Lake Worth. Our PHP Program is located at 950 N. Federal Highway, Pompano Beach, FL 33062.
How long is the average length of stay?
For every client, length of stay differs based on a variety of factors including medical criteria, diagnosis, insurance authorizations and other determinants. For residential treatment, the average length of stay is between 14-30 days. Key components include 24 hour medical supervision, medication stabilization, access to daily medical provider and individual/group therapy to address key mental health issues, as well as address any substance abuse issues.
The average length of stay for PHP is 21-30 days. Key components include 24 hour mental health tech supervision, medication stabilization access to regular medical provider and individual/group therapy to address key mental health issues, as well as address any substance related issues.
What is your licensure?
We are licensed through the Department of Children and Family Services (DCF) and we have a Mental Health Residential License through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA)
How many beds does the facility have?
Our residential program is a 20 bed facility, while our PHP program is 18 beds.
How often is the family involved for therapy sessions?
Family is invited to visit the facility and participate in therapy sessions on an as-needed basis. The patient’s primary therapist will determine the best course to take for the individual patient and family. Video conferencing and phone sessions are available for family members who do not live locally.
Do you treat dual-diagnosis patients (those struggling with both mental health and substance use disorders)?
Yes. Banyan’s mental health programs are designed for those who have a primary mental health diagnosis, as well as co-occurring disorders with a secondary diagnosis of substance abuse.
Does your facility require tests upon admission? If so, what are they?
Upon admission all patients much submit a urine sample to identify any substance use that needs to be addressed along with a mental health diagnosis. They will be given a mental health assessment to determine medical & psychiatric history, symptoms and severity. It is then that patients can be properly diagnosed, and the best treatment plan developed for the course of treatment.
