Beachcomber Family Center for Addiction Recovery

The Beachcomber is an addiction treatment center that offers residential, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and outpatient services for alcohol and drug addiction. We have been serving the South Florida community for 43 years and have always been and will continue to be family owned and operated. Since our opening in 1976, three generations of Bryan family members have been working with a dedicated staff of professionals to offer rehabilitation services. Our Relapse Prevention sessions are conducted by our Ft. Lauderdale Clinical Director, Genna Risucci, and our Boynton Beach Clinical Director, Grady Ricca. In addition, therapists Amy Seltzer and Jackie Cheney also support these sessions. One of our specialty groups that we offer at The Beachcomber is the LGBT group. This group meets once per week and is led by an LGBT therapist who is also in recovery. Clients are also encouraged to meet with this therapist once per week to work on LGBT-related issues. Residential and PHP services are available in Ft. Lauderdale and Delray Beach. Outpatient services are available in Ft. Lauderdale and Boynton Beach. Our continuation of care from residential to outpatient is done seamlessly. We offer these varying facilities in order to keep the client experience personalized and well managed. We offer a family atmosphere with ease of access to therapy and staff as needed. Our Intensive Outpatient Program delray beach fl is a highly effective method of addiction recovery that provides clients with up to thirty hours of clinical therapy per week as well as supervised residential housing during their time in the program. Our Intensive outpatient program Fort Lauderdale location offers both PHP and outpatient services at the same location. As your treatment program progresses from PHP to outpatient, your treatment facility and therapy staff remain the same for continuity of care.

Its taken me way too long to write this review.I thank God every day for the people here. The people you meet here have walked your path. I came in May 2019 and completed the PHP and IOP programs. My life journey has brought me many places in life, but my experience here will never be forgotten. Ernie, Amy, Nick, Eric, Miss Cornelia, Matt, Michael, Juanita, Nancy, Aaron, and the great Jenna. Nothing but the best. I sit here today over 14 months sober. Life is best it's been. We do recover. If you need help, call them. The program works if you work it. You must make the personal decision and do the work. All the tools will be given to you. - Paulie

I went to the Beachcomber feeling empty. I wasn't really wanting to but everyone told me i needed to. I was told in June 2012 that the counselors were in recovery and they believed in God. When I heard GOD i went. I felt like it was a calling. At first when I got there I felt very uncomfortable and in seconds the lady at the desk made me laugh and suddenly i didn't feel so bad. My favorite counselor was Trey. He was very strong and firm and a BIG Believer in God. The others were extremely nice also. Since feeling so at ease I felt completely comfortable and I opened up and shared. Not being judged but rather supported I felt free. So I thank the staff you will always have a place in my heart.

Great place, really creates and nurtures a positive environment that leads to sustainable, long term recovery. If you are looking for a reputable place with great team members, look no further. The staff is excellent and they have a deep understanding about the seriousness of addiction and a vast knowledge on how to help people get and most importantly stay sober. Wish there were more places like this that are focused on helping the struggling addict, not just on maximizing profits.

Beachcomber outpatient helped me immensely when I thought nothing could. They find a way around the red tape when they need to, which in my opinion speaks volumes about the facility and the staff. Less of a business and more of a family atmosphere. Sure there are rules that you have to follow but that’s part of life in almost all situations. I truly believe that you will get out of it what you put into it. If you want it to work for you it will, if you don’t you will find a way to blame everybody else for your bad experience. Clinical Director Genna is professional yet empathetic, honest and open, and always welcoming. She’s tough but very fair. She does a fantastic job running the place and managing staff and clients from all walks of life. As I’ve said before you will get out of it what you put into it. They sure helped me.

Beachcomber is an excellent facility.....It was the one and last place that my Son successfully sought treatment. The staff was firm but very caring. They always took my phone calls and I had weekly updates with their now Clinical Director Genna. She has kept in touch with all of to this day and we celebrate my Son’s sober date together each year, as I truly believe she was most instrumental in his recovery. Addiction treatment is a difficult industry and I have the utmost respect for those who work in it. Beachcomber has been around for a very long time and that’s due to its immense success rate.
