My husband was a resident at the Brian Center from mid-February, 2021, until his death on September 4, 2021. He was originally there for rehab from complications of COVID-19. But unfortunately, the severity of his case made continuing rehab impossible, and he became a permanent resident, as I could not care for him by myself at home. The staff was kind and caring, and went the extra mile for my husband. He was a REAL challenge, but they handled him with dignity and respect at all times. They allowed me compassionate care visits with him, and they were as kind to me as they were to him. I got to see first hand the challenges they faced in caring for him, and was impressed with the many ways they did their very best to improve his situation. Yes, the building and furnishings might need upgrading, but what is there is clean and functional, and that was all that really mattered to me. When he was able to eat, he usually loved the food, especially the cucumber salad. He asked for that many times. 2021 was the worst year of our lives, and yet we were blessed with so many opportunities to be together. Because of the Brian Center I was able to be the best care-giver I could be for the love of my life, leaving every night to go home and rest, knowing that he was well cared for in my absence. I am eternally grateful for the love and care we received from the entire staff of the Brian Center.

The staff at Brian Center in Canton cares for the wellbeing of their patients! They are willing to go the extra mile to help patients feel like family during this difficult time of COVID 19 isolation. They communicate quickly and appropriately among departments, conduct themselves professionally while on the job, and are fully competent to provide the care your family member needs. I might give them a higher rating if the facility was newly renovated, but the patient care and comfort is what is most important. Cheers to the dedicated professionals at Brian Center Canton!

There are not enough staff. If you're going for short term rehab the Pts are great for at most 2hours a day. Count on the next 22 hours being stuck in a tiny room and left there. The food is designed for the geriatric patients with zero options. The facility is old and probably hasn't been updated in 40 years. Some parts probably much longer. The place needs a major overhaul and more staff to remain competitive. Many good staff are hampered by lack of staff and no consistently.

My dad was admitted on a Friday at 3:30 pm from the hospital. He was admitted due to a car accident that left him with multiple broken bones. He needed assistance to get out of bed and to walk. After admittance it took numerous calls from family to get the staff to look for his pain medication for his broken bones. My father went hours in pain because the staff was too inept to look in his chart and find his prescription. On Saturday morning he was due for his heart and blood pressure medication. He did not recieve that medication until Saturday night at 10pm. If your agency is willing to accept a patient on Friday afternoon or any day and time for that matter then your agency is responsible for making sure you have the patient's medication before they need it!! As stated my father could not get up by himself however he was given no assistance and no cane or Walker to get up to go the the restroom. He had to use the food cart as a walker and push himself along without staff assistance to get to the restroom. My father would be better served to have gone home where at least he would've had access to his medication on time. Heart medications are crucial to life!!!!! Allowing a person with 8 broken bones to sit without pain medication is cruel!!! I hope that when the people who work here get older they recieve the same substandard care they gave my father because maybe then they will have remorse for treating people this way. Don't send your family here!! My father picked this place because the lady on the phone sounded nice. Trust me just because they sound nice it does not equate to a high standard of care!!
