Our roots in southeast Oklahoma go back to January 1995. Within a few years, our reputation for providing quality services and flexibility in meeting individual and special needs resulted in continuous, steady growth. This growth enables us to expand the types of services and variety of programs we are able to offer in the communities we serve.

The mission of Brighter Heights Oklahoma is to improve the quality of life for persons in southeast Oklahoma by providing comprehensive behavioral, emotional and substance use services designed to enhance and enrich the lives of children, youth, adults and families.

**Brighter Heights Oklahoma does not discriminate in the provision of services to an individual because the individual is unable to pay, because payment for those services would be made under Medicare, Medicaid, or CHIP, or based upon the individual’s race, color, sex, national origin, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

**No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay.

**Brighter Heights Oklahoma offers a Sliding Fee Scale based on family size and income to those that qualify.

**No person shall be excluded from services from this agency based solely on their disease status, except when deemed necessary for the safety and well-being of employees. This Non Discrimination policy shall include, but not limited to, consumers with HIV infection or AIDS. The Clinical Director will address any exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

** No consumer’s past or present mental health issues, including use of prescribed medications for such, substance abuse issues, or co-occurring disorder issues, the presumption of the consumer’s inability to benefit from treatment, the specific substance used by the consumer, the consumer’s continued substance use, or the consumer’s level of success in prior treatment episodes.

**No person shall be excluded from employment at this agency, except when deemed necessary for the safety and well-being of other employees and consumers. This Non Discrimination policy shall include, but not limited to, employees with HIV infection or AIDS. The Executive Director will address any exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
