Carter Hope Center provides a
structured and safe living environment to those individuals that are in need of a long-term residential program which encourages the spiritual,
physical, and emotional recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.
We use a cognitive behavioral therapy approach
(Matrix Model of Treatment/CBT) along with 12-step treatment model which includes required 12-step meeting attendance.
We also offer Mindfulness/Meditation, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and Sunlight Trauma Group which is TF-CBT model focused on trauma education and processing. We collaborate with Restoration Ranch. Restoration Ranch,
restorationranch4lives.org, is a 501c3 non-profit agency who offers Equine Assisted Therapy, Trauma Focused
Equine Assisted Learning, Equine Assisted Life Coaching and Relationship Building.
Residents are required :
To be fully COVID vaccinated, or if unable to be vaccinated prior to admission, must agree to be fully vaccinated within two weeks of admission to the program.
To obtain/maintain employment while in the 9 month program.
To complete detoxification prior to admission, if appropriate. We do not offer these types of services.

Cheems _xd5 StarI could never thank the staff here enough. I am forever grateful to them. They gave me a safe place to come and change my life! Most of the staff here are more like family to me than my own blood relatives!!
I see some negative reviews here and I have to say my experience was completely different! I don’t know where I would be, or my son.. without carter hope. This is a place to learn to become a responsible and productive member of society. They can’t make you stay clean but they can give you the tools to. Thank you so much staff at chc for all you do! Thank you for your vision and your heart and for giving addicts a place to come and change their lives. I am forever grateful to you all!Monday 12th July 2021

On August 27, 2007 my nephew Jody Buckner drove me up- the hill on Hawthorne street to Carter Hope Center here in Dalton Ga . From the time my sweet husband Terry Hambright died in 2004, I could not face the emptiness and hurt I was feeling and my life spun out of control. I medicated myself with anything I could get to help numb that pain, I put my sweet daughter and the rest of my family thru so much pain watching me destroy this wonderful life I had been given.
At Carter Hope Center I found I was not alone, and there were wonderful people who understood why I was suffering and allowing my pain to make everyone who loved me and cared about me to suffer with me. I'm so grateful for all the people I found in recovery who taught me "step by step" how to stop the insanity and begin to heal. I am so very blessed to have my family stand behind me and love me unconditionally. .
I don't normally share "my story" on social media, but maybe just maybe someone out there is suffering or a family is watching someone they love suffer. Please don't give up on yourself or on a loved one, because there is always "HOPE"Friday 27th August 2021

SAISHA GRAY1 StarI wish I could give this dungeon NO STARS!! This place is a SCAM just to get people's money!! They do not care whatsoever about people gaining sobriety. They let the counselors come and wash their clothes even in the house and eat our food and use our cleaning products. Also, Chuck the "director" of the program should NOT BE AROUND WOMEN. He made several very inappropriate comments to me there during my stay. I left and seemed out genuine treat and have been sober since March 7th, 2014. Zero thanks to Carter Hope!Monday 31st May 2021
