Older facility but blessed with a very attentive staff and support. Management is open to working with other providers (our father is in a hospice program with its own support), and has been responsive to family questions and input. We also understand facility improvements are progressing, and additional staff being hired and trained. Very pleased by the support and attention provided to our family!

This place is in my top 3 worst places I have worked. It's difficult to know where to begin. Communication or lack thereof, same with finding supplies, and staff. Management was the worst I have ever experienced. They appeared to be focused on staying in their offices and ordering food versus offering a much needed helping hand in a severely understaffed facility. Why continue to accept new admissions when you don't have staffing to properly care for the current residents? There's extremely high staff turnover which again, reflects poorly on management and the company itself. With high turnover, there's no continuity of care or consistency for the vulnerable residents. Finding basic supplies was a daily challenge. A resident asked for an extra blanket and we had to unfortunately tell them that there was none, and the same when they asked for snacks, additional pillows, a shower, hair wash, or a properly sized brief. No one could explain or figure out why there's an extremely limited supply of linens. I understand NC doesn't have staffing ratio requirements (this needs to be changed) but giving any one person 40 patients should be against the law and is immoral and unethical of the company to allow. We all know nursing/health care is challenging but when you have the means to set a higher standard and you choose to turn a blind eye, as a company that makes you apart of the problem. Prior to agreeing to place a loved one here or taking a nursing job, ask yourself, if you, yourself, would like to live in those conditions. I'm thankful to have found superior employment but feel dreadful for the residents and staff who remain.

The Director of Admission, Maryam went over and beyond to help get a place for our aging dad. Ours was an interstate move with many moving parts. Maryam was always very prompt with communication and patiently guided us through the process. She was our beacon of hope!

I was so blessed to be able to get a friend of mine in which I care for, into Cary Health and Rehabilitation. All of the staff seem to go the extra mile in making sure that my friend gets the best care and attention he need. I’m also thankful for the updates I get when I call the Nursing staff concerning my friend. I also appreciate so much the staff taking the time to help connect me to my loved one through video conferencing or just getting him a phone so I can connect that way. You guys are such a blessing to me and to my friend. Thank you!

My mother has been a long time resident of Cary Health Rehab for almost 22 years now. We have seen this place at its worse and it’s best. Seen a lot of staff changes over the years some good and some not so good. However my mom was just out on Hospice Care but I have to tip my hat to several of the workers there that I know cares about patient care. I 1st of all Candace McCarthy is one exceptional individual that cares for the patient and their families I haven’t seen this before in this industry. She goes way beyond her call of duties and for that I’m very grateful that she is there, what a asset Cary Health has there, I hope that they know they have a jewel there. 2nd Is Ms Ann Johnson. I wold be lost without her as well, Ann has the way she can calm mama down when no one else can. Ann has been there just about or longer than mom. She is another rare jewel that Cary Health has and I will be forever grateful to her for her caring and support she has shown us. 3rd is Larry, the admin over the facility. Larry hasn’t been there long, but I believe what he says and he gets the job done. I can honestly say he has turned the place around in a way that it was when my mom 1st arrived. I know every place has had it ups and down especially with the Covid crisis etc but I’m honored that this place was kept safe for my mom as well as the other residences there to me that speaks volumes. Now that I’m having to go thru another transition with my mom I’m grateful that I have these people in my corner I will need them because I can’t do this alone.
