What is Methadone?
Methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) is the most effective and researched treatment for addiction to opiates such as Vicodin, OxyContin, Lortab, Percocet, Morphine, Heroin, Codeine, Hydrocodone and Oxycodone. Methadone is widely used throughout the world to treat illegal opiate addiction and the negative consequences of opioid addiction like disease, death and crime.
Methadone is prescribed individually, with medication levels determined based on differences in addiction history, opiate tolerance, body weight and metabolism. A proper maintenance dose will relieve opiate craving and withdrawal without creating euphoria or sedation for 24 to 36 hours.
The goal of methadone maintenance treatment is to eliminate illegal opiate use stabilizing the patient for as long as necessary to help restore their lives and avoid returning to previous patterns of illegal and dangerous drug use.

Paul Samuels5 StarI have been to a handful of clinics over the years from Southern California to Arizona. Hands down this is the best clinic I have attended by orders of magnitude. The staff is great. Danielle, the director has your back if you are respectful and abide by treatment guidelines. Danielle has came through for me a few times when she didn’t have to. I feel like they truly treat me as a person and not just a number. My counselor, KC is the best counselor I have worked with in my ten years in treatment. I have had many counselors through the years and she knocks it out the park! Cant express my gratitude enough for the staff at Center for Behavioral Health in Tempe. Daniel Calvo5 StarIve been coming here now for a little while and I have to say I'm extremely happy I made the decision to come to this clinic. The intake process was a little long but that's to be expected at most places.
The staff here Is amazing. Danielle, Carolyn, Jill, and my counselor Ashley are extremely professional and kind. They do an excellent job and they genuinely care about their patients. Early Cuyler4 StarI've been here a few years now.The core staff here is awesome.this place has come a long way.it used to be kinda sketchy but they've fixed 95% of the problems.and that says a lot, most other clinics just don't give a shit.the only GLARING problem is the revolving door of councilors.I think I've had 6 maybe 7 different ones and seen about a dozen others come and go.it sucks b/c of you truly want to utilize counseling by the time they've gotten to know you they're packing up and moving on to a better job.other than that's it's a great clinic with great people.super caring,and always trying to help.Tuesday 2nd April 2019
