Drug Treatment and Alcohol Rehab Leader

The Center for Network Therapy (CNT) is America’ number one drug treatment and alcohol rehab program. CNT provides contemporary, evidence-based, outpatient addiction treatment that delivers far better outcomes relative to conventional treatment for substance use disorders. CNT is in-network with all private health insurance plans and offers Ambulatory or Outpatient Detoxification & Withdrawal Management, Partial Care and Intensive Outpatient, or IOP. CNT has 3 detox centers in New Jersey: Freehold, Middlesex and West Orange.

Science has proved addiction a chronic disease, based on the lasting changes it causes in the brain, and CNT was the first program to adapt addiction treatment to fit the “disease model” by moving all levels of care, including detoxification and withdrawal management, to an outpatient setting. CNT was also the first to be licensed to provide Ambulatory, or Outpatient Detoxification in New Jersey and offers withdrawal management from alcohol, anesthetics, benzodiazepines, and opiates. Most addiction treatment programs still stick to inpatient detoxification, as they view addiction as a behavioral issue and, unwittingly, perpetuate stigma attached to the disease.

A study by CNT showed that Ambulatory, or Outpatient Detoxification delivered higher sobriety rates, 90 days out, relative to outmoded inpatient detoxification. Better outcomes among both, men and women were driven by integration of the living environment into treatment, individualized medication protocols and longer length of stay. For women, effectively addressing trauma they experienced in the past delivered greater success.

Ambulatory Detoxification and Outpatient Withdrawal Management also reduce stigma associated with addiction, as the patient accesses treatment while living in the community. CNT utilizes the latest, evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, or DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, or MI in conjunction with Medication Assisted Treatment, or MAT. Psychiatrist(s) at CNT address co-occurring psychological issues.

CNT is in-networkwith all major private health insurance providers. Therefore the patient benefits from the lowest possible out-of-pocket costs, such as co-pays and deductibles. Being in-network also means that CNT’s programs are credentialed by health insurance providers and CNT can treat withdrawal symptoms immediately, without waiting for authorization.

CNT’s Medical Director, Indra Cidambi, M.D., is recognized as the leading addiction treatment expert in America. She innovated to the Outpatient, or Ambulatory Detoxification level of care and proved it to be safe and effective. ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) has recognized Dr. Cidambi for advancing treatment for addiction. Dr. Cidambi’s views are highly sought after by media outlets: NPR, New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, NJ 101.5, “O” Magazine, NJ News 12, CBS, Fox News, Thrive Global, NJTV and others.

There are myriad benefits to accessing detox from home. Firstly, it is important to remember that CNT offers ambulatory or outpatient detox in NJ at 3 locations and provides detoxification from alcohol, benzodiazepines such as Klonopin, Ativan and Xanax, opiates such as fentanyl, heroin, opioid pain pills, and Percocet, anesthetics such as ketamine, amphetamines such as Adderall and Dexedrine and kratom.

Secondly, ambulatory or outpatient detox treats addiction as the disease it is, and not as a behavioral problem that punishes the person suffering from a substance use disorder by removing him/her from the home environment and sending him/her to inpatient treatment.

Thirdly, treatment outcomes are better than inpatient. It may seem illogical at first to buy into this claim. However, think about this! No matter how long the treatment is provided in an inpatient setting, eventually the patient has to come home and adjust to his/her living situation, deal with daily stressors and cope with triggers in order to stay sober. With outpatient detox it starts on day one, and it is not as difficult as one would imagine because patients are administered supportive medication that serves to mitigate their cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Also, therapy provided during detox allows patients to process stressors in their home environment, learn coping skills to deal with them and apply learnt skills real time in their home environment. If those skills do not work for them they are able to come back to treatment the next day and work with their therapist to modify their techniques.

Fourth, and probably the most important reason, is stigma. Addiction is a disease, but it brings with it the stigma of a crime! Similar to being locked away for committing a crime, an individual with addiction is locked up (although voluntarily is most cases) for a period of time. As inpatient treatment was the only option for detoxification until a short while back, addiction became stigmatized, as there was a perceived need to remove the individual suffering from a substance use disorder from the community. Outpatient addiction treatment serves to normalize addiction to a disease and reduce stigma associated with it. Also, patients can continue their normal lives at home everyday after treatment. The ability to be available for their families when the kids come home from school reduces barriers to treatment for women.

It is with great pleasure that I recommend the Center for Network Therapy. During the course of my outpatient detox, I was to be at the center from 9am-2pm daily. Snacks and drinks flow all day combined with lunch being provided daily. Most importantly, I was getting the help that I needed by being comfortably detoxed, meanwhile my life could go on and I could work on my next steps. I was home by 2:30pm and did not need to worry about care for my dog. The center’s staff team possessed such amazing communication skills and positive attitudes that added to the professionalism of the facility. During the course of my detox, I developed a respect for the teams’ abilities, work ethic and professional demeanor. In those cases where a patient required more, demanded some thought and care (such as myself) the team helped me in the right direction and was always available to talk (even have a hotline number). I recommend the Center for Network Therapy without reservation as they possess a nut-and-bolts understanding of the addict mentality, a good practical hold on how the addict world works and a sense for the larger issues that an addict grapples with each day – with this they guide each patient. They are by far the best facility as for my recovery needs, that I have attended. Best wishes to all in your recovery!

The staff at CNT in West Orange helped me get well. For me, the program worked because I was not locked in a rehab center and I was able to go home each day and cope using skills I learned at CNT.

At first I was a little skeptical about this place but soon i realized I was wrong. Their professionalism exceeded my expectations across the map when it came to my recovery. They received me with opened arms and help with the fundamentals with getting my life back in order. With a very well trained staff, they help you mentally and physically in every way possible. They really care for your well being. I highly recommend the Center For Network Therapy to anyone who is serious from breaking the chains of their addiction to alcohol and drug abuse. Remember life is too short to blow it on your addiction. Seek help as soon as you can because it just might be your last chance.

I was so excited after seeing on the website all of the solutions they supply for those still sick and suffering with addictions, etc. - particularly their outpatient detox, which appealed to me as an option in my case - to get the best support and learn how to live in the real world again! Even after I called on a Saturday and left ALL of my insurance info and was told by one worker “welcome home” after I expressed not being able to find much help. He let me know that by the end of the following Monday he would reach out and someone would go over all my benefits with me, etc so we can get going ASAP. Well, I never heard back from them - it felt like another door slamming in my face, after being told I was “home”. I’m dealing with PTSD and I felt neglected to not even get a call back whatsoever. Anyway, I struggled on my own for more time and had to detox at home alone. Thanks guys. Anyone know a good therapist?
