Due to the COVID-19, the office of Central Oregon Evaluation Services is closed to the public. All scheduled evaluation appointments will be conducted by telephone. Our operating hours are Monday - Wednesday 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00pm - 4:30 pm and Thursday 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.
Our office will still be available by telephone during current office hours.
Welcome to Central Oregon Evaluation Services
Central Oregon Evaluation Services (COES) is designated by the Circuit Court in the counties of Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson to provide substance abuse evaluations. The primary evaluation completed by this office is for an individual charged with Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII) however COES provides other non-DUII related substance abuse evaluations as requested by the Courts.
COES is staffed by Alcohol and Other Drug Screening Specialists (ADSS) certified by the State of Oregon Health Authority Addictions & Mental Health Division.

David Williams1 StarGarbage racket that needs to be shut down. You are court mandated to get an evaluation and this is the only service in Central Oregon. I paid them over 2 weeks ago and ever since cannot get them on the phone. They don't return messages, and they screen their calls. The fact that they do not accept cards and take only cash or money order is suspicious and scandalous. They don't offer receipts. I feel like a victim of a scam. They're only open 3 days a week for 5 hours a day. The fact that they have any kind of contract with the courts is unbelievable. Every single review is one star. A Harvey1 StarThese people are supposed to be counselors? Dealing with the man here was one of the worst experiences of my life. He is the rudest and most aggressive person I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. He actually snatched papers out of my hand and THREW them back at me merely for asking for a receipt as I was trying to make a deposit in cash. (Of course they do not accept cards.) Would you feel comfortable leaving cash in a drop box with no receipt? Completely unprofessional and honestly frightening behavior from the male employee. They are only open 6 hours a day 4 days a week and you can't even leave a message on the phone "after hours." This place and the people who run it are complete trash.Thursday 11th November 2021
