I have been asking Cindy for a copy of my late mother's records for months. I guess it takes time to clean them up before sending them. I am not happy with the other reviews I was reading on here. makes me wonder what they will not include in her records.....

I took a chance on getting my rehabilitation for my completely replaced left knee in the winter of 2009 during the Xmas /new years holiday's; and boy what a disaster my decision to take a chance on the combination nursing home/rehabilitation facility this turned out to be. Let me say if it wasn't for the skilled nurse who cared for my said left knee replacement, sutchers, healing/pains I'd give this place 1.5 stars. First of all you don't want to have any major surgery that requires rehab, healing/care. To prevent infection/to get you on the road to your recovery in a nursing home/rehab facility. Because (nobody e.g., the rehab staff) likes to work during the Xmas/new years holidays) none of the rehab staff was there for my first eleven days/that set me back big-time, in my rehab, lack of flexibility/recuperation. In the way my said knee failed to respond, when the rehab staff finally got back from their Xmas/new years vacations. Little did I know then how much that would affect my recuperation overall. Secondly/most importantly, the food was terrible, the basement area where I was taken to get some very light said knee movement's was very cold. And in spite of the exceptional replacement of my bandage's along w/topical medication, by my skilled nurse. My said knee became infected; and I had to be transferred via ambulance at night. Back to the Rothman Institute at Jefferson hospital in Center City Philly. For care to heal my said knee. From the bad infection I unfortunately caught while at the Chestnut Hill Lodge/ Rehabilitation. Where eventually I began my real said rehabs at the Watermark at Magee in the Spring garden section in Philly. And after having my said knee not responding right according to my Orthopedic surgeon,"snapped back". At the Rothman Institute at Jefferson hospital in Center City Philly.. I returned to the Watermark at Magee, and eventually kept all my rehabilitation appointments/made a full/successful recovery!

My Aunt, Mabriel Bridgers, just recently passed away. Her belongings, specifically her purse, which contained credit cards, house keys , etc., were left at Chestnut Hill Lodge Rehabilitation. Family members showed up at Chestnut Hill Lodge to retrieve my Aunt's personal belongings. However, we were informed by staff that her belongings could not be found. My Aunt just passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022. It is hard to believe that our Aunt's belongings were "misplaced". To be continued...

Chestnut Hill Lodge was a nightmare it is by far the worst Nursing Home I’ve ever come across. If I could give 0 stars I would. My Dad was a resident there for about 63 days and within those days he fell on 5 different occasions twice in 1 day within an hour span. The staff there were rude, unprofessional, inconsiderate and showed no compassion towards my loved one. All of my Dad’s clothing went missing as well. All of his clothing from his undergarment to sleeping clothes and even his prescription eye wear went missing. When asked about where his clothing went no one could answer. My Dad missed several important doctor’s appointments due to the Nursing home facility not having transportation and letting my siblings and I know at the very last moment. Communication was very poor! Every time I would visit him he was either in someone else’s clothing or in hospital gowns. The Nursing home even at one point told us that he was wearing donated clothing which I could not understand why. One day we were told that we could visit him in his room instead of the lobby. Once I was able to go in the back I witnessed how his dirty clothing had feces & urine on them and were just placed in a plastic bag in his closet. There were times his missing clothing would reappear & disappear a few days later again. After his glasses went missing for about 3 weeks those reappeared as well. My Dad suffers from glaucoma & also has Dementia never in a million years would I think or expect he would be treated in this matter. Especially at a place that we trusted for his care. Hopefully this review will have you reconsider sending your loved one here.

This facility is by far the worst nursing and rehabilitation center known to man. They attempt to mask how terrible this place is by remodeling the lobby and hanging up a few nice paintings; however the residents rooms are filthy and reeks of urine. As a social worker who support individuals through difficult times and ensure that the vulnerable population are safeguarded from harm; I was appalled by the way the administration team handled and managed family concerns and complaints relating to residents care and safety. The facility administrator Kim, director of nursing Bridget and unit manager Tanika were very rude, often fabricated information and never showed any concern for my loved one. I had to consistently contact the facility and send emails to request meetings and follow ups. If you are looking for a place that is clean, safe, compassionate, professional and respects the rights and dignity of the elderly, I would not recommend this place.
