Dr. Todd Magro graduated medical school from the University of Tennessee, then came to Charleston for residency in Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina and participated in the NIDA-funded Drug and Alcohol Research Tract. After residency, he completed a fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at MUSC.   We offer addiction counseling and recovery services focused on developing the skills needed to provide long-term recovery from addictive substances. use Suboxone and Buprenorphine products to address the physical needs of each patient in order to help stabilize their life as they progress in their recovery

Highly do not recommend. The office staff needs to remember that patients are there for HELP. If you are looking for generosity or a practice that actually cares, don’t waste your time here.

Recently, I had gone here (under a different name from this Google account for privacy reasons) and the treatment I had received is awful. I had gone here since it was close to where I live for convenience, but never again. The service I had received was awful. The psychiatrist that was assigned to me did not even try to properly diagnose me or answer my questions involving more than just depression and paranoia, and when I did try to bring it up, she would turn down the idea and prescribe me another medicine for depression if I told her the current one is not doing anything for me or making me worse. I would be in the waiting room and noticed how she interacted with her other patients on how she would take more than five minutes for each patient and would have uplifting chats with them. I felt as though, when I had gone inside, she would only spend less than 15 minutes with me and only gave me no time of day to help me. I am not going here anymore and would not recommend anyone else to as well.

The owners name is Jody and she is NOT a psychiatrist or a psychologist she just owns the practice and she felt insulted when I said it was wrong they couldn’t do a virtual visit and I said such because I had waited over a month for this appointment and when it had come I was sick and didn’t want to risk getting others sick as well and during that phone call she was extremely passive aggressive and rude . Moving on when I tried to reschedule she dodged my calls for a week her reps said she will call me back and she never did so I called every day and then Finally she answered and in a nasty tone said “let me think about seeing you here give me a couple days, I don’t like that you said I don’t know how to run a practice” clearly holding a grudge against someone trying to be seen to help better their mental health . They even told my primary care doctor that I had missed my appointment and ignored their phone calls when I have literally made phone calls every day for the past two weeks trying to reschedule. After giving it another weeks wait and calling back in she kept dodging my phone calls and then one of her representatives said that Jody said she will not see me at her practice this is extremely wrong and foul… I’m sure the psychiatrist are great but the owner of the practice, who again is not a psychiatrist or psychologist is an awful person and doesn’t care about much more than herself she didn’t even have the audacity to call me back and had one of her reps speak with me.
