Cochran Recovery Services (CRS) was established as a nonprofit in 1974 by recovering alcoholics in the Hastings area. Today, CRS provides medium-intensity, co-occurring residential treatment for men and women and is managed by NUWAY, one of Minnesota’s largest nonprofit co-occurring treatment providers.

After 14 or 15 I think it safe to assume I've seen it all when it comes to treatments. With that I'll be brief. 1)Some of the techs in my opinion are sober but haven't recovered. 2)Food is tolerable on a good day. "Bare minimum." 3)Upper management staff (RAW TRUTH & FOCUS ON SELF) is whom I relied on. Keep in mind, I'm a special case and have specific needs. They're approach for me was more therapeutic. If not for a few, "AND I MEAN FEW" very qualified staff members this could've easily been a repetitive experience.

This was a life changing experience. The director Ryan, program manager Mikke, my counselor Hannah and ALL of the staff, what an amazing team! They were all friendly, helpful and empathetic. I personally gave this staff members a hard time during my recovery process and they handled it gracefully. God bless them all. Loved the salad bar! There was always something to eat/drink eg. cereal, milk, tea, coffee, donuts, cookies, bagels, and of course fresh fruits etc

I just completed 90 day stay. I appreciated all I learned and the opportunities ahead. Very professional staff guides you through program that gives you what you put in. Plus they offer just enough free time to really work on yourself in ways that really help. I am confident many people change their life for the better after completion. Very grateful for new friends and future opportunity.

When I arrived I had the highest of hopes but after a few days I realized it just wasn’t going to be a good fit at all. The staff seemed really phony especially the main womens counselor. She wasn’t someone who could relate and it was obvious. She seemed snotty and when I made it known I wanted to leave she only then decided to care about my concerns. Prior to That it was just ignored. When I began packing my stuff and called my ride the counselor with the really long hair started like threatening me and then called my PO to make sure to try and get me in trouble. I get they need to contact POs but I wasn’t even gone yet so it was Clearly done as a intimidation tactic to try and make me stay. After I left I received a package which contents were valued at $100. When I called to get it back I was told it was never received which I know is a lie as it was Signed for by their staff. You can’t treat people badly and bully them into your program. I know each bed you fill is $$ but try not to be so obvious that’s all you care about.
