Cornerstone, located just outside of Knoxville Tennessee, provides a place where substance abuse and mental health issues can be addressed head on, so that healing may begin. Our inpatient and intensive outpatient alcoholism treatment and drug rehab programs are based on the Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual model of treatment and the 12 Step approach to recovery, and we pride ourselves on the individualized treatment plans we develop for each and every patient, the goals of which are to dispel the darkness of their disease and allow that individual to function as a responsible, productive member of society.
We provide medical detox services that allow our patients to safely withdraw from drugs and alcohol, and the therapeutic elements of our program include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Integration Training (AAIT), Schema Therapy, Family Therapy, Individual and Group Therapy, Activity Therapy, Fitness, Chronic Pain Management and Psychoeducational groups and lectures. Each patient will be involved in individual and group therapy with a master’s level therapist, in addition to other processing groups that offer counselor and peer support.
If you’ve found yourself here, know this: You don’t have to suffer any longer. There is a way out, and we can help you leave that darkness behind forever. With comprehensive treatment, your addiction can come to an end, and a new day is just over the horizon. Please, reach out to us, let us evaluate your situation and permit us to help you recover.

Micah Groover1 StarPlace is a recovery for profit establishment. If you do not fall under one of their preferred categories i.e. railroad, medical, or "professionals" you will get second class treatment. I did not fall under one of those classifications. It took two weeks for me to be "evaluated" by a nurse practitioner. Psychologists are reserved for their preferred clients. My roommate was a pharmacist(preferred) and within three days had seen therapists, Psychologists, and given medications. Every week the "professionals" are given special dinners among other things. In my entire time there I only met with my counselor one time officially. I made my concerns well known. The response from management was narcissistic in my opinion. They finally stopped denying it and told me I could leave whenever I wanted. I wasted a month of my life and was worse off for it when I left. If your insurance/employer does not require you to go here, stear clear. If they do not cover 100 percent of the cost don't do it. This place used to be reputable. Not anymore. They are a corporate oriented recovery for profit institution.Thursday 10th March 2022

Daniel Leary2 StarI was there 13 years ago in the R&R program. The 90 day program turned into a 50 week program for me. I guess that I was a hard case.
My stay at this rehab facility was better than most that I have been to, although I was quite disappointed with the follow up program once I was released. I felt that I was used only for the insurance that the rehab industry loves to milk for as long as the money is flowing.
So here I am today. Sobriety long ago out the window, sitting here alone again with my trust in humanity in tatters.
I don’t blame anyone but myself with my situation in this life.
Everyone has their own experiences in life that molds them into the the individuals that they are today. I’m no different. I am forever evolving. Today I am exactly at the point in life that I am meant to be. For better or for worse. One day at a time.Sunday 3rd October 2021

Steven Rench5 StarI went to cornerstone to get sober and I left there with so much more than that. A deeper knowledge of myself and the tools to be successful in recovery. The therapy is top notch. The councilors are truly caring and very smart about addiction. It speaks volumes to honestly say I'm going to miss it there. The support and comroadary you get living in this environment probably saved my life. Thank you cornerstone. Love you all.Tuesday 7th September 2021
