Cincinnati, OH Covedale Treatment Services

Outpatient Treatment

Covedale Treatment Services in western Cincinnati, Ohio, offers evidence-based and medication-assisted addiction treatment for men and women addicted to illegal drugs like heroin, synthetic opioids such as fentanyl, and prescription painkillers like oxycodone (OxyContin®), hydrocodone (Vicodin®), codeine, and morphine.

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) utilizes Methadone, Buprenorphine/Suboxone, and Vivitrol to help control cravings and reduce the risks of relapse and overdose. When combined with outpatient treatment services, like individual and group therapy, 12-step programs, and SMART Recovery, MAT programs for opioid treatment are proven effective. Been here since the opening and even though it has gotten better, they just don't care about their people. It's a good place to dose and leave, but anything else is usually a hassle. (Random non purpose holds, no one at the window to take off the holds, passing people around to different counselors, waiting 20-40 minutes for a drug screen etc.) (hold=can't dose until someone takes it off or moves it) Just recently spent 4 days in a row and almost an hour waiting at the window (with no one there half the time) for the same hold. No one knew why the hold was there or who put the hold on me. I'm on my 9th counselor, once i get used to and comfortable with someone they just pass me on to the newest one. And everyone is on a different page, the multiple different people at the window, the nurses, counselors, the doctor, they'll all tell you something different. The ones who know what they're doing make life a little easier, the ones who don't waste time and cause a lot of frustration. But there are some awesome nurses, they're the best part of this place, some doing multiple jobs just to keep the place running.

By far worse treatment program ever!! Kicked me out after 2 years because i noticed the new security guard trying to hit on 2 patients so he got nervous and told staff he seen me buying weed out front of the clinic.mind you i haven't smoked weed since i was 15 and asked them to look at the surveillance cameras which they refused

I really did not have have expectections when I first made the call to get in there. But I have been in the program for 6+ months and it really has saved my life. I'm so glad I made that call. The staff has always been very professional and have treated me with respect always. If this is the route you want to take in your recovery I highly recommend their services.

On 4/22 this year, I tried a number of times to call Covedale Treatment Cntr. and had to leave a message for my daughter’s counselor to call me. My message was to pass along information on my daughter’s relevant issues I didn’t think Covedale was aware of. I also left a message with a real person at Covedale on May 3rd. My daughter has been attending the Center for about the past five years. Our daughter informed us on May 13th that I had called Covedale, and that Covedale reportedly informed my daughter they couldn’t share information without a signed release. My messages to Covedale was explicit in me wanting to share pertinent information. I have not heard back from the Covedale, and this seems to lend credence to rumors I hear that Covedale’s treatment modality is more focused on substance maintenance rather than substance treatment and an individualized plan.
