Addiction and Mental Health Issues are often misunderstood and minimized by those who have never experienced these problems, or have never taken the time to become informed. For those of us who suffer from the consequences and daily impact of these chronic and potentially life-threatening problems, recovery is hard, complicated and anything but easy or simple. 

I am so glad that you are considering getting help for yourself, a friend or a loved one, who is suffering from an addiction, a mental health issue, or both.

By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, you can begin to unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

The first step is identifying the problem(s).

The second step is asking for help to find creative solutions for the problems that you have identified. I am here to help you find those creative solutions that can help lead you out of the pain and suffering you are experiencing. I am also here to help the other people in your life, that have been affected by your substance abuse or mental health problem, and to help them find solutions for coping and supporting you in your recovery.

When you call, I will answer any questions that you might have about what I do. I will also ask you some basic information, such as address and insurance, and make an appointment for you to come in. I am concerned about your privacy and confidentiality, and want you to feel safe and comfortable about both asking for help, and feeling this way while you are in treatment with me at Creative Counseling.
