Your care options

Everybody hurts sometimes. Life can knock you off balance and make you feel overwhelmed. We are here to help you through a crisis. A variety of kind, experienced staff members at Crossroads at Grandview offer different types of care to help you feel stable.

Acute Treatment Unit

Our Acute Treatment Unit (ATU) provides short-term crisis stabilization. It is avaliable for men and women over age 18 who need to access mental health services quickly. From the minute you enter our facility, you’ll experience a sense of calm, safety and caring. The ATU will help you regain stability and return to your daily activities. We can help with options such as: psychiatric and medication management, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and wellness education. In addition, we offer individual and group therapy, case management and transitions services. In the case of a medical emergency, the ATU is conveniently located next to Mercy Regional Medical Center. The ATU allows you to stay close to home and support systems. It is an alternative to traditional inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, which is located outside our region. We accept most private insurance, Medicare and Medicaid.

Detox Unit

The Detox Unit is a place for people to safely withdraw from substances, including alcohol and drugs. It is an open, shared environment for men and women over age 18. First, Detox staff members closely monitor withdrawal symptoms. Second, they support patients through the process. Finally, they offer referrals to community resources. The facility is close to Mercy Regional Medical Center and our Regional Crisis Team. Therefore, this allows for quick emergency responses or assessments.

Regional Crisis Team

When someone is emotionally overwhelmed, they may need to be evaluated in person. Our Regional Crisis Team can help. During business hours, people can access mental health services by calling or walking in to Crossroads at Grandview. In addition, you can walk in to any Axis Health System location. Outside of business hours – or at any time – you can call the 24/7 Axis Care Hotline at 970.247.5245. The Regional Crisis Team will determine the best location for your evaluation. This team serves Archuleta, La Plata, Montezuma, Dolores and San Juan counties.
