This place woke me up,if you listen to the staff and do your homework,it can begin the process that frees us.I have no excuses to use I thank my GOD for Damion house! Was it difficult?,not more then my former life,At the time it wasnt fun,but there's a method to what appears as madness!

The counselors suck. No phone calls back. Meanwhile- I was trying to talk about a baby that was on the way. They do not care about the clients or the clients families. They truly are not hardworking at all. And it is horribly run. I couldn’t believe in my condition how I’m treated. It’s more then just pregnancy & the after affects of what my plan was. I needed communication of the father who was in there. They are terrible. I wouldn’t come here. It’s also a TC. If you’re not court ordered, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. There is rehabs that will help you. Like advanced health and education. Etc. don’t go here ! Also, the contacts are ridiculous. I just really am disgusted by this place. It should be shut down. You can get sober anywhere. This is not the place to do it.

at first i was not sure about Damon house. they seemed so stricked and I didnt know if my son could make it there.. its 3 months later .. my son is doing amazing..they work on anger management and discipline etc.. they do not bend any rules.. Im thankful now that my son is at Damon house. I think it was the best decision my 27 year old son agreed to do !

This review is for Damon house located in New Brunswick, NJ-This place is so unethical, they still practice the “break you down and build you up” principles for which numerous studies have revealed they do more harm to the psychological make up of the individual then they do good for those simple reasons many inpatient rehabs have ceased practicing the TC approaches. One of the most disturbing things I found was that they have interns without degrees working as counselors which is terrifying to me because you basically have someone without a full knowledge of what they are doin “practing” on people and in turn damon house is thus saving money because intens work for free. When I was there there was a counselor who constantly would grab me in appropriate places when we were alone, I was on psych meds that actually were costing Damon house money so they brought in some individual and disputed my 12 year diagnosis of anxiety and depression so they can put me on medication that is more cost effective for them but is not for my specific disorder ..following the disturbing sexual misconduct that the staff of Damon house bestowed upon me and the sudden medication change I left ...and that was the best thing I ever did..they would have this group I remember where they would make a person sit in front of everyone and they would tell them everything that is wrong with them and embarrass them and the Counselors would just laugh during the whole process like hurting someone is entertainment after those sessions many people ran away and used and died ..I strongly recommend that this house be shut down for unethical practices for false reporting and for allowing sexual misconduct and sexual harassment by their staff against the patients to take place and turn a blind eye to it just for the sake of money and funding by the state

It's a very good program, I was there in 2006-2008 it's a TC program and it was very helpful to me being a herion addict for 10 years, the staff is caring and helpful, the Bradley's are good people, some people are affaid to go to any TC programs, I was at first but you have to give it a chance, you didn't become an addict over night so it's gonna take some time to set your mind to become the person you once were and not be a slave to drugs, and I did have alot of fun and met some really good people, so if your tired of being a slave to drugs and going to jail this program will save your life, it saved mine!!! Thank You Damon House.... Philip Pierros
