Our professionals are CSAT certified to address sexual addiction issues, and continue to stay current with methods and standards of the ITEP Institute. We use research-backed methods and materials specific to treating sex and porn addiction that give our clients the best chance at a full recovery. We provide individual counseling, facilitate sex addict support groups and hold meetings where members talk about how to beat pornography addiction. Our residential facility helps separate addicts from their triggers and relocate them to beautiful surroundings where they have access to equine therapy as well as music and art therapy. Desert Solace saved my family. Mark and Jerri, the founders of Desert Solace, are the heart of the program, and they genuinely care about each individual that comes through their doors. The focus at DS is on creating connections and letting go of the crippling shame that all addicts struggle with. The 90 days my husband spent here last year was the start to his journey to recovery. It didn't "fix" him - he wasn't broken. He gained the tools to live a life of continual love, connection, hope and recovery. Recovery is not easy, and it's not immediate. It is a process of making the right choices each day, and finding healing through connection. Boundaries are essential to recovery, and those are emphasized at Desert Solace. Desert Solace helped my husband more in 90 days than the VA did in 7 years. Staff was consistently professional, friendly and helpful throughout the inpatient program; and continues to offer wonderful support in their aftercare program. They also offer support for the mens families throughout treatment and afterwards as well.
