Absolutely NO stars to give....NONE...from beginning to end no communication for a minor child....black mold in the bathrooms, no communication from doctors or therapists, no exit meeting, no exit plan, no AMA forms to sign your minor child out...holding a minor child against parental rights of the AMA forms to receive their $950.00 a day from insurance....doctors telling minor child to not act like a 5 year old when calling people from the approved call list...social worker, Tessa, not doing an appropriate teleconference call with both parents....no care in the world to call the parent that could've given the information needed for the minor child's regular therapist...just she will figure it out....teleconference with the one parent lasted 10 minutes and still no one could answer the questions from the parent wanting to know progress, etc....the minor child's therapist had to call 3 times to get someone to answer him no one reached out to him....the big law breaker is the AMA forms...this form is an "Against Medical Advice" form that should be in the building.....instead they have the parents/legal guardians to write a letter of request to have your child "released" and this process can take up to 72 hours at their discretion...this paper is found in a red folder packet given to the minor child and not the parents...nor is this form signed or has a place to sign...so full disclosure is something they don't follow as well....it's all about the money...they could care less about the patients...nothing....this place needs to be shutdown immediately!!!!!!!!

It's been one year. Around one year since I was at this place. I'm giving Dover Behavioral Health just two stars. I'll admit that I felt like an outcast during my stay. To all of the medical staff: please think about being in the patient's shoes. Crippling depression and anxiety can happen to anyone. Just because I have it, doesn't mean I'm someone to distrust or be treated unfairly. I went to this place to receive treatment, but unfortunately, I was given medications that didn't cope well with my diagnosis and remember the harsh words that some of the staff had with me. It took me four months to get out of the darkest pit. I hope that the team here remembers me - my name is Nina Thomas, and I almost lost my life to suicide. To the very few who treated me well, a big hearty THANK YOU. Please be kind and realistic to the patients... remember to incorporate real-life coping skills into the activities and meet the patients for where they are in their dark seasons. A little DOES go a long way. I will never forget the nurse who told me, 'One moment. One step. One task at a time.' It helped me become the woman I am today, and I wouldn't trade her for the world.

My mother has been here for a week and I have yet to speak with her case manager. Every time I call and ask for a supervisor or the DON, the phone just rings continuously. What happened to the family meeting and treatment plan for the patient. What greatness of UHS…

This place needs to replace the staff, the receptionist more specifically. I’ve called three separate days and every time it was someone new and more rude than the last. I personally was calling regarding an application but omg I can’t imagine how people who actually want help must feel the receptionist are so uninviting needs to change.

DBH creates a revolving door for the adolescents they supposedly treat. They stabilize them with medication as soon as one is admitted to DBH. The staff makes sure the adolescents get their medication while they are in treatment. Yet, once patient is discharged with prescriptions. DBH completely drops the ball on their medications. It should not take any professional 30 days to perform their duties, or to fill out prior authorization for patient to get their medications. I believe they create a revolving door , because it keeps them in business. Besides the fact, its very difficult to talk to any staff, since they are rarely available, nor do they return a call.
