The “chicken or the egg” issue is
a common question in my work
—drug abuse may initiate the onset or increase the severity of other mental illnesses, or mental disorders may lead to drug use and abuse, as people attempt to “self- medicate” to cope with their symptoms.
Multiple national population surveys have found that about half of those who experience a mental illness during their lives will also experience a substance use disorder and vice versa. My solution is to address the chicken AND the egg! With education and training to understand and treat both issues, I'm uniquely positioned to be of maximum service to my clients.

He is an extremely compassionate man that has a heartfelt love for the patients that he works with.
