Embark at Cabin John – located in the Washington, DC metro area approximately 10 miles northwest of Washington, DC, 13 miles northwest of Arlington, Virginia and 5 miles southwest of Bethesda, Maryland – offers outpatient behavioral health services and support for pre-teens, teens, and young adults, ages 12-25, struggling with mental health and/or substance use issues.
Anxiety, depression and suicide are on the rise and children are at risk today more than ever before. Too many pre-teens, teens, and young adults go through life suffering from anxiety or depression, loneliness, feelings of shame and trauma. It doesn’t have to be this way.
Our outpatient program allows your family to get the help they need locally, in your own community, and includes individual, group and family therapy as well as therapeutic / peer mentoring and parent coaching. We provide a healing, nurturing and safe environment to help families and their children address and overcome the following mental health issues that may be affecting their everyday lives.

Deysi Escobar5 StarThe best of the best. They really helped my son get his self esteem and confidence back. Lee was our therapist, but my son loved everyone here. There was many people helping my son. I see that this is a team that you can trust. It’s important to work with people you can trust, especially in this field. My son and my family always got respect and care, while getting genuine help. And we never felt alone. You just have to trust the treatment plan. They will help you through the process. This is not a medical treatment, it’s a journey. We are more confident as a family with the plans and tools that they provided us. My son always had a great time in groups and looked forward to therapy.
When we were first looking for a program, we were scared and uncertain. We didn’t know what to do. We are so so happy that it worked out. Every staff member was helpful 24-7 and were available after hours to help. We were crying and praying and looking for an answer. We feel like this was an answered prayer and we feel so good that we always have people to reach out to if we need it.
I don’t see these people as staff members, they acted more like friends. I’m so grateful. If your family is struggling, please reach out and trust the process. Everything will be ok. That’s what we found out.Tuesday 21st September 2021

Nick Erickson5 StarSabrina and Robyn have been hosting virtual cooking classes on a monthly basis called “Meatless Mondays” which has been so much fun! Not only have I learned some delicious new healthy recipes (really, surprisingly delicious, and my family has loved everything so far), but they have also incorporated Mindfulness and nutrition lessons into the session. I can’t wait for next month’s class! Thank you ladies for teaching me more about healthy eating and the enjoyment that comes with it.Monday 17th May 2021
