Formulaic approach to treatment and especially inadequate training of therapist in regards to eating disorders. As a patient, you are not approved of any privacy regarding communication with loved ones as all of it is done with your therapist that tends to nullify any concerns about your treatment. Grievance forms are completely disregarded, and most staff members treat patients as burdens. There is not one client that has ever gotten a decisive 30 day treatment stay as it is marketed, in fact most patients stay for months and in select cases, years. The elongated stays are made possible through blatantly exaggerated claims of the necessity for the patient to remain in treatment, particularly in the transitional housing provided that is absurdly overpriced - nearly one thousand a month - considering you have three other roommates and are confined to VERY small, one-story duplexes in a low-income area. Phones are confiscated past inpatient, so one must seek employment through tiny computer room within the staff unit of the housing area that 50+ patients must share. Low-wage, low-stress 'recovery jobs' are strictly enforced, setting up the financially burdened client to a longer stay when considering rent. Younger and less financially stable clients' families are actually encouraged by all therapists to 'let go', explaining the cases of those who have spent years trying to muster the money to break free from the 'transitional' housing. Lastly and most notably unethical is their refusal to make ANY transfers to different facilities. No matter the situation, no referrals to other programs are made, assumingly to keep the patient pool steady. Discharge plans are not made for those who wish to leave before the program is 'completed', which has rarely taken less than several months, leading the patient with nowhere to go and unable to plan for themselves when the limited communication is considered - the computers in the lab are monitored and designated for job searching only. I witnessed high-schoolers fail their classes due to unavailability in the computer lab, families torn apart, younger patients threatened with sudden discharge to the street, and some of those patients actually being discharged in a 'kicked to the curb' fashion. This place is essentially falsely advertised, punitive, and subtly agonizing for the patient. Do NOT send a loved one here.

Dr.Robert Moran is truly a caring and dedicated practitioner. Our loved one was there and we got an entire family of counseling with this program. If you need help with your loved one and want to help the entire family, this program is for you. The support and systems are tried and true. The families support one another through the recovery process and there is support even after your loved one comes home. I’ve never experienced a group like this. They help the entire family unit walk through the recovery process. They explain in detail the approach and support you and your family as you find your way back to normal. It is the only program I know that focuses on the entire family and helps every individual figure out their role in the dynamics of recovery. It is a two way street and when everyone is on board, the recovery process is extremely effective. Thank you to all the great loving professionals at FCFR. We love the patient to practitioner ratio. Almost 2 to one. They know everything that is going on and Dr. Moran and the staff communicate constantly with your loved one through the process.

Really great staff that actually care and truly listen to you. The other patients were mostly good, some just kind of annoying (adolescent floor.) Groups were mostly interesting and interactive, but some were boring. Main complaint is the residential food was pretty bad and they didn't care for my dietary restriction (no cheese) until my last week of res. PHP is amazing. Shout out to Nurse Shannon though because she makes you feel so welcomed and loved. Also Ms. Lauren was so helpful, respectful, and genuinely listened to me. Overall a very positive and helpful experience and I'm really grateful for it :)

All I can say is thank you. Great team always on top of things. Three months in with my LO and I zero complaints or regrets. Seeing my brothers progress is priceless. We chose the right place.

I would highly recommend Family Center For Recovery(FCFR), and am so grateful that I found it for my family member needing treatment. FCFR is life-changing and life-saving not only for the individual in treatment but for the entire family. It is a unique program that offers not only treatment for those with all types of psychiatric illness, including addictions, but provides amazing support and education for the entire family. They provide a continuum of care from detox (if needed), to inpatient residential, to partial hospitalization through intensive outpatient and outpatient. They treat both adolescents and adults, and provide support and education to the families. This is a unique program with protocols for family members to follow, some of it may seem to go against your initial intuition, but if you, and your loved one is willing to make the necessary changes a successful outcome is very possible. Full transparency, this is not a locked facility, so individuals in treatment, including adolescents, can make the poor decision of leaving the property. FCFR does everything in their power to convince individuals to stay, but, as it is not a lock facility, they cannot put hands on, or restrain, the individuals in treatment, But they will also tell you exactly what you need to to provide the best possible outcome. If you are searching for a treatment center for someone in your life with psychiatric illness and/or an addiction, FCFR should be your first and last stop! Dr. Moran and the entire staff are amazing!
