I am at a lost for words, which is not a position I find myself being in often. I attended this program twice. Both times I attained a wealth of growth and knowledge. My experience there was that of a caring staff, from the overnight guy, all the way to the owner. The people there are dedicated, heart invested, to helping young men. I struggled with substance abuse and addiction, when I left the first time and subsequently relapsed, the alumni coordinator still called me 3x a week when I was at my worst. Then when it started getting dark they coordinated getting me there again for a second stay. You will not find better therapists, the groups and the 1on1 sessions are of a quality I have never experienced in my 9 years of attending different therapy practices and programs. Not only did they provide me with opportunities at their facility, but they were able to connect me with another aftercare facility that probably saved my life and and kept me away from doing the same thing I did after attending the first time. To my knowledge, no other facility employs the therapeutic model they employ. My only advice to a struggling young man or a family considering putting their son here is to trust them. They love their work, they know what they’re doing, and they’re not just chasing a paycheck. I formed relationships here that at the time were stronger than any I’ve ever experienced in my life. In my opinion, Family First was a gift from God. I attended this facility for my last time in October of 2019. I now stand a recovered addict and alcoholic with a little over 2 years of sobriety.

It was a cool experience, I was here for 45 days. I’m glad I left when I did, some kids stay longer. The staff was really awesome, and were there for me, I don’t know if I can mention staff names but there were a few CA’s who I really helped me out when I was sad or depressed and made my time being there happier. I didn’t like some of the rules but I understand them. School and outings were my favorite things. The food was 7/10.

I arrived at Family First on New Years Eve 2020. As much as I hated the idea of going into treatment I was welcomed by an amazing staff and an amazing program. FFAS helped me grow closer to my family and learn more about myself. If you are considering going yourself or sending your child there as hard it may be I would strongly recommend this program. All you can do is love your child, let go and trust the amazing people at FFAS to do what they do. I am 8 months sober and feel amazing. Even though I have ups and downs I feel much better about myself and closer to my family than I have in years.
