Read More Fora Health will be closed next Monday, May 30th in observance of Memorial Day.  We will continue to provide services for the Residential and Withdrawal Management (Detox) patients in our care, however we will not admit to any programs, provide Outpatient services, and our access center and lobbies are closed.  We will be open and resume admitting patients on Tuesday, May 31st.

Edit: Shoutout to Ny Nguyen and the entire nursing staff here! Literal life savers, would definitely recommend this place irregardless of the doctors here and my original review. The nursing staff care for you and go above and beyond their counterparts to communicate with you effectively and express their care and humanity during treatment! So disappointed. Detox treatment was unremarkable. Doctors forgot to order my prescription until the day I left, assuring me it would arrive same way. Almost four days and countless calls later, lo and behold my medication has yet to arrive, and staff have repeatedly refused to confirm that my medication was ordered, let alone reach out to their pharmacy for an update. Zero communication or care.

I went through detox, residential, and outpatient here, back in January 2021. I just celebrated one year clean! I’ve been to a lot of rehabs and had no success. De Paul/Fora Health was different. I received the mental health treatment I needed, along with traditional substance abuse therapy. The continuum of care was awesome. Also, I have to recognize the diligence of management upholding Covid protocol. There were multiple covid outbreaks during my stay but each time was handled safely and per the CDC recommendations. I always felt safe. Thank you everyone at De Paul who supported me on my road to recovery, especially my counselor Lindsey Ramsey and RC Jen.

The wait time was short to get in but that’s the only good thing I can say about this place. I dropped a love one off Saturday for detox, Monday I called to check on his progress and they told me he had left shortly after arriving, the past 4 days I thought something terrible had happened to him, nobody has heard from him or seen him since Saturday. I called back because I was able to track his phone, his location said he was still at the facility so I thought maybe they mixed him up with another client. Come to find out, they transferred him to the hospital because of health concerns, I’m his emergency contact and he had a ROI filled out for me to receive information, they refused to give me any details and told me he was an adult and there wasn’t anything they could say or do. The past 4 days I have feared the worst, I would never recommend this place for anyone because they don’t care about their patients the way she’s should.

My boyfriend went through this program in October 2019. He was in bad shape with his alcoholism. He had done a lot of horrible things and was no longer the person I fell in love with. He went to DePaul and stayed there until February. We credit his sobriety to this place. If it weren't for DePaul, he probably wouldn't be here today. I'm not sure how so many folks have had such a bad experience here. He tried other places like Hooper Detox Center, and honestly, it just made him worse. Other places let him blame his problems on his addiction. DePaul made him realize that he had a disease/addiction, but he was capable of doing better. They had counselors and staff members who truly cared. Today, he admits that he will always be an alcoholic, and it will always be a battle to stay clean, but he has stayed clean since leaving DePaul and is way easier to talk to nowadays. Thank you so much, DePaul! I truly hope some of the folks who helped him through are still there to help others. ♡
