This place saved my life. Almost 3 years sober and I owe a lot to the staff and the environment of the friary. I have been to a couple of treatment facilities and this one was by far the best. It truly saved my life and I am grateful for the friary. I still go back every Thursday night for a meeting with the new patients because my experience was good. I love the friary just wish they would keep the inpatient treatment instead of going to only out patient treatment.

5 stars for the staff (professional and maintenance/kitchen) and grounds/setting. Some of the rooms/bathrooms haven't been updated since the 1970s, and comfort is important when you're trying to improve things about your life. Food was okay EXCEPT if you have blood sugar issues, options are almost non-existent. Still, overall, it's great value comparing costs to other places, and if you want help with difficult life changes, they offer you all of the tools.

as with all of these treatment places, it's all about money and maximizing their profits. They don't care about you or if you truly get clean. They don't make money off people who get clean and don't come back. Now they are changing the services they provide because they aren't making as much money. So much for caring about the community. Places like this are a joke.

This rehab does NOT encourage family involvement. New studies show that family support is very important for the loved one's recovery. I would suggest finding a rehab that works with the family. If you want a divorce, have your daughter or son, mother or father turn against you then this is the place for you....the Friary will make that happen. They will do a wonderful job to create division in the family.

My sister entered treatment for an opioid addiction. At the time, she was taking an anti-depressant prescribed by her primary physician. After ONE visit to the treatment center psychiatrist, he prescribed two more antidepressants - one with a sedative - along with boost bar (a non-narcotic anxiety medication). Now we are up to 3 antidepressants and Boost bar. Her blood pressure kept spiking so the psychiatrist prescribed her a blood pressure medicine. She went to The Friary having ben clean for 5 weeks, only to come home a walking zombie from the the meds she was on. She went to her primary physician to discuss her high blood pressure but BP only registered 70 over 63. Turns out the 2 antidepressants psychiatrist prescribed her, a side effect was spiking blood pressure. Why in the hell do you send someone to rehab to help them with a pill addiction for them to be to be given 3 more prescriptions? An addict will not take the prescribed amount. She probably would have learned how to cope and manage her addiction while she was there but she never had a clear mind. IF THE PROBLEM IS PILLS, STOP PRESCRIBING THEM!
