I am a former employee of gatehouse. I left a different job to start there when I was told about the position to work under the new director of the admissions at the time. His goal was to turn gatehouse admissions into something it had never been before, something to be proud of, somewhere worthy to work. However, after taking the position, both myself and all New hires soon found the truth and sad reality of what was going on. The director was limited on what they would allow him to do. Despite great efforts made, every positive direction he tried to take ended in pure disappointment for the department. When upper management discovered the changes that were trying to be made to better the admissions department, upper management decided to publicly humiliate ( sound advise ) the department over and over again... ; within the exception of the people that this particular upper management "man" had hired previously. This "man" made life miserable for everyone including the new director. So within a drop of a dime one day, the new director grew tired of the excessive favoritism, and micromanagement, and quit with no notice. I can't really say I blame him. With that decision being made; the "man" that was once admissions director took his position back immediately. He turned the work place hostile, chaotic, and unfair. The second day this "man" was in charge I began my search for a position worthy of my time and efforts. Immediately the "man" made it known of his dislike for me. I've been in this field of admissions for drug rehabs for going on 7 years. I know what I'm doing and I know how it works. Do I know it all? Absolutely not. But it didn't matter to the "man." I landed 5 job offers all offering a much higher pay with less Hostility, of which one I took. Working for such a man isn't worth the lack of pay, hostility, favoritism, or anything else. Gatehouse as a company could be great. But the remain second or even third on the list because of men like their current director of admissions. Other rehab facilities have surpassed this company time and time again due to their poor judgment in who they place in high positions. It's disappointing to see such potential and success of a company be limited by the leadership they chose. That being said; if you are looking for employment, and specifically in the admissions department under current dictatorship , director of admissions, I would highly recommend working for minimum wage somewhere else. They have great people within the company that have been surpassed. People such as the manager in admissions. He has great skill that a company such as this one could use. It's a shame that greatness has been overlooked, and been pushed to leave the company. There is a reason that this company has an insanely high turnover. You will not be treated fairly, paid fairly, or given the opportunity to grow as a person and employee. They are looking for "yes men" who never want to amount to anything or challenge things to make a better company. If you are satisfied working for a narcissist, who doesn't value you, or for a company who will never grow to surpass mediocre , take a chance here. If not... keep looking. Godspeed!

This treatment center has helped me in so many ways. The staff here genuinely care, and will do anything they can to help you achieve your goals. My time here has been beneficial to me in every way imaginable, and has helped me to regain the most important thing I lost....MYSELF! The houses are great. There is a brotherhood among the other clients, and the other guys here always had my back. If you TRULY want to make a change, and have the opportunity to get your life back then Gatehouse is the place for you! Plus it is in south Florida the weather down here is amazing!

I would highly recommend Gatehouse Treatment to anyone and everyone seeking recovery. The quality of treatment and therapy is only surpassed by the level of compassion and availability of the staff. I feel this has attributed greatly to my success in the program and as I continue to lead a sober and successful life outside the program. I was a successful professional who lost everything and through adherence to their program and the assistance of the most attentive and caring staff I was able to slowly work my way back up from being homeless and penniless to obtaining a good paying job back in my field. I couldn't have asked for more. They are now family. If you are in need please call it will change your life.

Gatehouse treatment met all of my expectations I anticipated for a treatment center. The staff is friendly and supportive, and provided the structure I needed for my recovery. Gatehouse does NOT have a magic pill to keep you sober. They do however provide you with the tools and support to help change your way of thinking and change your direction in life. Upon leaving, I know that if I keep doing the work, my life will continue to improve by leaps and bounds. However, if you do need a miracle cure, go ask Pax Prentiss.

Gatehouse is where i found hope in myself and my future. I got the chance to hit the restart button in my life. I spent 7 months with the staff and my fellow brothers in treatment. I learned new and exciting life skills I had a chance to apply while i was there. The staff always supported me and any and every way they could, and for someone like me who came in broken meant the world. The program allowed me to get established with the recovery community here in Palm Beach as well getting back to work. My journey continues and i have decided to continue to have outpatient services offered even though i have successfully completed the program. Being at Gatehouse has become more like an extended family for me and i only encourage you who are reading this message if your thinking about extended treatment pick Gatehouse. They help develop a strong determine man who can live by principles and not emotions. Marquise
