What a wonderful program. I participated in the evening IOP at Gateway Skokie for six weeks. The curriculum is so practical and helpful, based in behavioral changes and action items that actually work in keeping me centered, sober, and aligned with my real values as I navigate the world. Our counselor, Brian Wagner, is just the best: so empathetic, caring, and knowledgeable and such a great listener. I learned so much from him and felt so supported. My fellow participants were amazing (even as the group changed as people entered and exited the IOP program). As addicts, our willingness to share openly and take real comfort and learning from each other's experiences was so valuable and illuminating. I emerge from the program not only sober, but grounded and optimistic about my present and my future. Thank you, Gateway Foundation!
