I dreaded going to this program everyday because of how tuff it was and trying to make it out alive! Once I left I realized how much was instilled in me, which no other consequence or program was able to do! Bill taught me more about addiction then Iv ever known! Even when I have a slip up I know not to follow the same road that got me in my situation! I’m grateful even after all the hell! I could basically say this program and Bill saved my life so far

I wish there was an option to give zero stars. Unfortunately, these types of programs are never a “treat,” but knowing that you or your loved ones are getting the help that is truly needed is beyond critical. These people play games with sick/struggling individuals, and they are more concerned with your money than your well being. Try Somerset Treatment Services on the other side of town. The difference in integrity, ethics and respect for their clients is overwhelming.

Two family members of mine have had to attend this program due to idrc recommendations. I have attended the family program which is a very important part of recovery. The reasons I give it 3 stars : 1: The program coordinators do know what they are doing, the ones I have met are sweet and very professional. That is 5 stars. 2. Bill the program coordinator is extremely smart and knows every aspect of addiction. He is respectful and also shows tough love which is important in addiction recovery. 5 stars for him all the way. 3. The building is not in great shape. And many people in attendance vape all over the building which is uncomfortable. There is dirt on the walls from people walking by. I hope they move so that doesn't drive people away. 2 star's. 4.*****Most important reason**** family nights are once a month and Bill repeats the same exact lecture. I wish there was more family education which helps people and families there for true addicts. I also wish there was more counseling options, if not through GLS a referral to further resources.

Unfortunately you can't please everyone. We receive referrals from all areas of the criminal justice system as well as people convicted of DUI. Most of these people though in need of treatment do not necessarily agree with that assessment. They resent the fact that they were referred into treatment to begin with and when a diagnosis contradicts their denial it is an up hill battle. Our program provides education about addiction and attempts to show the individual the negative effects their relationship with a substance has had on their life. We also offer alternative choices they can make in their lives instead of continuing in the insidious cycle of addiction. If you can take an honest inventory of the effect a substance had had on your life and are motivated to change. Guided Life can help you. Those looking for short cuts or just showing up to comply may get exactly what they put in. Please note I rated us 3 stars for neutrality.
