Our PBS Project
Dr. Herbert N. Avart of My Addiction Physician™ is raising awareness for what has become a serious opiate addiction epidemic in the United States. He offers medically-assisted treatment to patients suffering from opiate use disorder, using a comprehensive patient-family-centered rehabilitation approach that focuses on the restoration of a patient’s independence.
To raise awareness, Dr. Avart is putting together a project for PBS that discusses many issues pertinent to opiate addiction recovery. He discusses the ingredients for success that should be a part of any comprehensive addiction treatment program. This project communicates: 1) your not powerless, 2) how physiologic change makes easy behavioral change, and 3) this is a recovery approach that makes sense!

Melissa McGarvey5 StarIt is difficult to sum up in a review how important it is to have someone in your life like Doc Avart. He is caring, fair, honest and straight forward. Not too long after my first appointment I felt energized and strong enough to tackle my terrible back pain with Doc’s exercises, breathing techniques and words of wisdom. I started to see HUGE changes in my thinking, choices and behaviors. I began to read things that made me feel better rather than sit alone and feel bad for myself. I began to believe in myself and then, I realized that I’m no different than anyone else- call Doc’s office and make an appointment- why suffer needlessly when you can heal too?Sunday 10th October 2021

Shirl Reed5 StarI would like to let the entire world know Dr.Avart is the most passionate and caring doctor's I have ever met. I thank God daily for putting this doctor into my life. I truly don't know were I would be without him. He is a listener and gives great feedback and is there for you 24/7 If needed incase of a emergency.
Dr.Avart sends me all kinds of emotional intelligence paragraphs monthly for me to study and take in and it really helps paint the big picture and understand life and situations! Helps me keep my head clear.
I seen so many doctors in the past that showed know compassionate or caring like this one does. He truly is a life saver in my eyes. I thought there was no coming back but this Doctor lead me to the light of the tunnel!
One weekend I had a problem that had me stressed and my
anxiety was so bad. It was a Saturday and I emailed Dr.Avart and he messaged me back within minutes helping me get threw my situation. While he was at a special family event. "Wow" now that is a doctor that truly cares about his patients!
I could go on and on about this wonderful doctor! I would definitely highly recommend him! Drdvart has saved my life! Again I am so grateful for Dr.Avart and his staff members at the front desk are phenomenal! They treat you as you are family!Wednesday 27th October 2021
