My mother has been in a couple of area nursing facilities in the area and Hillcrest will be our choice if we ever need these services again. The people are kind and want to accommodate everyone. The rehab department is great. There is no place like home of course but if you need help these folks are more than willing to assist. They even had blankets in the lobby to make sure mom was warm to go out for an appointment. I highly recommend for elder care assistance.

The therapy department was wonderful. Staff were nice and tried to do all they could to assist. They allowed visitors but only 1 person to a room at a time due to Covid. The rooms are shared so I can't give it a 5 star but the manager said they are working on getting more private rooms. Food was good most days but if the food isn't what you want they were more than willing to get you something else. I would suggest this place.

I, Kiran Joshipura was a patient at this great Hillcrest facility during February of 2022. My twenty days stay at this facility was my life’s first experience in such facility. I can categorically state that if I ever need to spend my life in a care facility in my old age, I would say this must be it. The professional approach from the administration, nursing, OTPT, physical therapy, social workers, cafeteria , the front desk people and rest of the staff was exemplary. I also observed other patients were being taken care of just as I was. If anybody asks me to recommend one such facility, this will be it. Although at present I live in Virginia, still in the future if I have to choose a facility like this, this will be it. My heartfelt thanks for the entire staff of this facility. I hope that anybody reading this takes what I am saying deeply serious! My great grandmother was recently living at Hillcrest temporarily for rehab due to a fall that led to a fractured hip. We chose Hillcrest due to the ratings being high and highly recommended reputation of the facility. When going there to visit my great grandmother I came to realize the real neglect of the facility faced by many of the patients there including her and her Roomate that she had at the time who was also there just for rehab. Thank God my grandmother had me and a big family that we would rotate and visit her daily, and bring her food and take care of her. They never checked the dressing on her stitches while she was there for almost 2 weeks after just getting out of the hospital from surgery. They were administering her medication she was supposed to be getting to her Roomate, so God only knows what they were giving her. She is a diabetic with other health problems and they were knowingly feeding her fatty, fried and unhealthy foods that constantly brought up her blood pressure and her sugar levels(ALL FOODS WERE COMPLETELY AGAINST A DIABETIC DIET).Which made her deeply scared to eat their food because she was concerned for her health, so I had to bring her food regularly to make sure she was eating properly and enough. They never washed her up and only changed her at night to go to bed. Her call bell was unplugged from her wall multiple times. Also just from observing other residents in there who were completely helpless and needed real round care help we’re constantly neglected, and their call bells would be going off for 15+ mins with nobody addressing it even after me bringing it to their attention. The lack of urgency with their staff was despicable, and so was the cleanliness of the facility. They also promised after care when it was time for her to go home and they completely failed. They promised to send a walker for her and that a physical therapist would be coming to her home to work with her and neither of these things never happened, nor was there any follow up. I speak out not for just my great grandmother but for many other elderly or rehab patients/residents that are in this facility and many others like these. It is unjust, wrong and completely unprofessional what is going in this facility and others like this one. I hope that whoever may be considering to send their love ones here chooses a different and better facility.
