Hillview Sober Living is staffed exclusively by recovered addicts and alcoholics who utilize their personal experience to inform their approach with each individual resident.
We focus on the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous while introducing residents to Portland’s vibrant recovery community. A sober living environment provides the camaraderie, safety, and support necessary to establish balance between individual and communal recovery as well as develop valuable life skills.

Matthew Seitz5 StarThis place saved my life, more specifically Tommy saved me. I came to Hillview in a very dark place. I had just lost everything and was in a very vulnerable place. Tommy made the living situation safe. He has no tolerance for any drug use or anyone who makes the place unsafe. He made decisions that were hard and always put the safety of the house and the guys who wanted to be sober first. He was always there at the drop of a hat to help me and so was Billy. They both went out if there way several times to help me. I won’t get into the specifics, but they invested a lot of time and energy to help me at my lowest point. I owe my life to Tommy and Billy without them I don’t know where I would be or if my kids would still have their father, I can’t thank them enough.Tommy will always protect the ones that are in this for the right reason. He is an amazing man and friend and if you go here you will succeed if you follow the instructions he gives. Thank you Tommy and Billy.Wednesday 12th May 2021

I would like to give a big thanks to the house manager Tommy Hume Who not only lives on site there helping people on a day-to-day basis what is active in the community as well he plays a full role in this day-to-day fight against addiction. Ryan Jamison5 StarI'm looking at these reviews and I must say, my experience here was vastly different. First, if you are seeking a sober house that will provide lax oversight regarding drug and alcohol tests that may inhibit keeping you in check, consider some other place. Tommy is the house manager here. He leads by example and has had his share of lifes tribulations but has overcome the odds and provides a genuine and sincere helping hand when it is needed. He is a top rate person. He's honest and will not coddle you. This house helped me and kept me sober. It provided exactly what I needed when I needed it. Nothing in life is perfect. This is not an easy road. But I should hope when you look at places to get clean you consider the people who are in it as a guide to help you along rather than the posh look of the interior.Wednesday 3rd March 2021

Jay Green5 StarIve been here at hillview going on 8 months now and so far the best sober living I've seen , the structure here is phenomenal I our house manager goes out of his way to help us guys get whatever we need when it comes to recovery and that's what it is about . I would recommend hillview to anyone that is trying to do the right thing .Tuesday 11th May 2021
