As a parent, nothing is harder than handing over your child to someone you never met, and trusting him with your most precious possession. Bryan Kennedy took the time on a Sunday morning to talk to me for over an hour about not only his recovery house and the expectations therein, but his own life story as well. To say I was apprehensive was an understatement. But it wasn’t my decision to make. That morning was the first morning of my son’s new life. As well as that of myself and my family. The structure and direction of Independence Lodge is second to none. No matter how much time passes, I will never forget what the Lodge did for my son and my family. Thank you is not enough. There are no words to express my gratitude. Life is full of changes.
