This place has made so many changes for the good. Sadly, it gets a bad rep in the community but the patients are really happy and management goes out of their way to show appreciation to staff. Thanks for all that you do and keep up the great work.

Outstanding service, and performance. Very professional yet made me feel welcome and not just a client . Responded quickly to my needs and concerns very attentive. Seriously every department has gone above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you everyone at Island health and rehabilitation center in Merritt Island Florida.

Please, please avoid this facility. My mother-in-law was transferred there after a hip replacement. She was dead less than 3 days later. We were not allowed to visit in person, instead we had to stand outside the window and shout to her. She had no water until I went to the guard at the desk and asked for some to be provided. I obtained a copy of the Brevard County Police report concerning her death. It is very disturbing. The officer states “I arrived on scene and made contact with . I attempted to gather information from regarding medical history; however, she was very evasive and seemed to have no desire to assist me, which I thought was odd.” She told me, “I’ve been out for the past week and don’t know anything about this female”. We did meet with the staff the day after my mother-in-law’s death. We did not have the police report at that time. The staff said they were sorry and made excuses for denying us the ability to see her. We learned she was seen by a doctor only once.

I just want to say thank you to the Director of Nursing Barbara and A wing manager, Jenny for all of your help with my nursing needs while I was here as well as the awesome CNA Quintera (i misspelled her name i know it :) , the PCAS were wonderful too. There is alot of changes happening with this facility currently and they seem to be guided with very professional direction. These ladies and gentleman that work here (not all but noone is perfect!! ) everyone showed me respect and love and i appreciate that. Its the little things i noticed... the CNA would take her time out and sit with the elderly that needed to be fed and help feed her while talking to her about the day... One CNA Shelby on B wing would take the time out to wash a residents hair that could not do it herself and braided her hair for her. I thought that was so kind. The place is a laid back facility and i have grown to care about some of the awesome people who work here. Thank you to Jerry and April and Miceala for making me feel welcomed and comfortable. Thank you to Chanel, the director for making some fun events happen during my stay. The physical therapy was amazing and in three weeks i was walking again after not being able to move in my bed for 6 months! Jo Jo the director was fantastic and Johnni was awesome. Both kept up with me and gave me motivation and encouragement too... I couldnt have asked for a better team. Thank you guys for all of your help! God bless all of you and all the residents here 😘❤❤💝🎉🎊
