Our Treatment Team

Jefferson's Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Department offers the services of specially trained Occupational Therapists—including one with specialized training in Hand Therapy—who provide comprehensive care aimed at restoring and maximizing independence, preventing disability and maintaining health. OT strives to improve coordination, balance, cognitive skills, strength, and range of motion. Adaptations for disability are also addressed through compensation training and adaptive equipment. Jefferson Outpatient Occupational Therapy services focus on five performance areas to enable patients to participate in the meaningful activities of daily life: motor, sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, and social functioning.

At Magee Rehabilitation – Cherry Hill, the treatment team includes a board-certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist. The NCS designation demonstrates an advanced clinical knowledge and skills in treating individuals with neurologic injury, such as spinal cord injury.
