This place helped change my life. I have been to a few other rehabs and this was the best one. I feel it really worked. The staff is extremely helpful in your journey towards your recovery. I had also been setup with a recovery team for when I left and that is the best perk. I am in constant contact with my recovery team which helps me stay accountable and on track. Ignore all the negative comments anyone has ever said to you. You get out what you put in. This place will bring you long term recovery if you want it.

The Jellema Treatment Center provides needed services to people who suffer from alcohol and/or substance abuse addiction. This facility also provides stable housing and support services for veterans suffering homelessness or are temporarily displaced. The program for the veterans is called the "Veterans to Independence Program" and is funded by the Veterans Administration. The meals are nutritious and well prepared. If your working, the staff will let you take your food to go for work. Everyone gets their own room and you can adjust the heat and air conditioning to your liking. Just like anything in life, you'll get out of it what you put into it. There are some good resources and networking opportunities provided but you have to do the work to make things happen. I've made a few complaints and I was respected throughout the process. My issues were resolved in a timely manner. Many here have been incarcerated and suffer from "Institutional thinking". This place is a good place to go after incarceration because most aren't ready for the shock of living on their own. That's why this is also called transitional housing. I respect the Pine Rest staff (and the Veterans Administration for the V.I.P program - Veterans to Independence Program) for helping those who are in various stages of need. If you are a loved one is suffering in any way, Pine Rest offers services that can change a life. (I'm a member of the V.I.P program myself) Im writing this review to show gratitude to the people who accepted me into the program and to anyone who may be considering assistance via Pine Rest. There are rules and you get patted down, but this is for everyone's benefit.
