Lake Area Counseling & Behavioral Health (L.A.C.A.B.) Lake Area Citizens' Advisory Board

Our organization was founded in 1989 as a community support agency for the Missouri Department of Corrections to assist the probation and parole offices in our communities. Over the years, we have grown and continue to grow in our ability to provide a variety of mental health and substance use disorder services for not only offenders, but the residents of our surrounding communities as a whole. Our evidence-based programs are ever evolving and adapting to the needs of our communities. Our SATOP (Substance Awareness Traffic Offender Program) and outpatient treatment programs (Intensive Outpatient Rehabilitation and Supported Recovery) are certified through the Department of Mental Health, Division of Behavioral Health.We are a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation, which strives to serve the mental health needs of our surrounding communities. In addition, we serve as a liaison between the community, residents, and the correctional system. We currently serve the counties of Camden, Laclede, Miller, Moniteau, Morgan, and Webster.
