Life Care Center of The Willows offers inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and 24-hour skilled nursing care in a cozy part of town in Valparaiso, Indiana. Porter Health Care System locations and all of the quaint charm, shopping and entertainment in the area are just minutes away. Our nursing home offers a variety of specialized treatments, including Closed Pulse Irrigation wound care, VitalStim® therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation. In addition, our in-house team of therapists and nurses work with each patient and resident to develop a personalized care plan to meet their individual needs and goals.

The residents at the willows are well taken care of I notice this everytime I come and volunteer at the facility. While it is a smaller facility and not as fancy as the others-it is more like home. Each staff member gets to know each resident inside and out making it a one on one experience where everyone feels valued. From housekeeping, nursing, management to kitchen staff everyone comes together to care for the residents and it shows.

My grandfather was admitted as a resident when we were no longer able to care for him on our own. He had Alzheimer's and required around the clock care. The staff at The Willows were very compassionate towards my grandfather as well as my entire family. I witnessed the same level of care and compassion towards the other residents and their families as well as between the residents amongst themselves. When you enter the building, you can feel a sense of family and it was such a blessing to be able to experience the love, care and comfort that entails.

Absolutely terrible. They dismissed my Moms cry for help and she was sick. They said she was faking it. She ended up having surgery and a month later passed away. The Doctor who sees the patients is so overloaded his choice to be on 3 committees and have an office he has no dam clue what he is doing. He has to live with himself. Nurses some amazing some so awful you want to cry. Terrible place Please for your loved one DONT GO HERE!

The building is older, however the staff in every department goes above and beyond. So much so, I have 1 family member there currently, and 2 others before. I would recommend to anyone for sure.
